We have a 30' trailer and booked our spot 2 months before our travel date. They put us in a spot that "just fits" the trailer. Sites are all very close together. No one ever mentioned it when we called to confirm our reservation nor was it on the email confirmation. I am giving them a 1 on the restroom rating because they apparently don't exist for this season! I think they just decided it was easier not to have to clean them and are using Covid as an excuse.
They also charged my credit card twice for the deposit. They gave us credit for the double charge, but I did have to call them on it.
The WiFi seems to work well at the site.

The pictures in the brochure are spot on this place is beautiful. Unfortunately, all the spots do not look like the brochure. They do not publish a site map, so be careful. We had to shove our fifth wheel into a narrow spot (64) where our awning hit the class-A next door. In all fairness, the spot had a decent amount of sq footage, it was just too long and too narrow to be useable. Had to back in within 4 feet of the folks behind to reach the power/water/sewage. I might not have commented except for the 13 foot trailer in the HUGE pull through spot (73) across from me. I will come back, but I made a list of spots that are not acceptable. We came on the recommendation of friends who had previously stayed all summer. They had much better experience, but in fairness, we only made our reservation about ten days prior. The staff were all very pleasant.

The star rating say's it all. The only reason I could not give restroom facilities a 5 is because we did not use them. The staff go above and beyond taking care of the ground 's and landscape. Wish I could have stayed longer is the only regret.
First time in Colorado and definitely won't be my last. We are new the the RV scene but decided to try Bayfield Riverside. Best park we've been to yet. Beautiful park and wonderful people. Can't wait to be back and just want to thank the employees for a great experience.
This is a hidden gem of a park, MUCH better than we ever expected. Surrounded by streams and a river, small waterfalls all over park, level sites, clean, showers very good, flowers everywhere, owner and others at park extremely friendly and helpful -- just doesn't get any better than this rustic Colorado park. A little road noise only detractor, but MORE than offset by the charm of this park. Don't pass this one by!
Arrived Aug 10 , 2019 for 5 night in space 67. Almost immediately had progressive surge protector shut down with High volts (over 133 V) on leg 2. Three more hits that evening. Reported to park management. Owner came and stuck meter in pole plug and said volts were good. I told him the problem was intermitent. Short version, coninued to have high voltage hits over next four nights, even after moving power plug to space 51. Solved problem by leaving park. No power issues after moving to Cottonwood,... Stayed here for 1 week and throughly enjoyed park and area. Ideally located between Durango and Pagosa Springs, with great winery nearby Fox Fire. Fishing ponds (no lic necessary) for kids and adults both. Old town Bayfield even has a fun brewery/restaurant, and don't skip the town museum....lots of history. Plenty of hiking trails within a short drive, and lake fishing.
Beautiful campsite. Very peaceful and quiet. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Was so much better than KOA. Bathrooms and laundry room were very clean. The flowers were gorgeous. If we are in the area again, we will be sure to stay here.
Very nice RV park. There are some nice ones in Durango also, but this was a very pleasant park to stay at. Beautiful setting with a creek running through it. Sites are level and spaced out well. Great location for a home base to see all that is in the area.

We pulled into this beautiful park mid afternoon and from the time we pulled off the highway we knew we had found a gem. There are flowers everywhere and lots of green grass and trees. We love staying at this park. We have stayed a month or more about a half dozen times and each time we leave we look forward to returning the next year. The staff is friendly and helpful and the park is beautiful. We do not have a dog but many people that stop here do. The dogs seem to enjoy the paths and huge meadow. As others have mentioned this park is near a highway and we have camped in a space next to this highway. In my opinion some reviews make too big an issue of the noise. Many spaces... Read More

Many spaces are easy pull through spaces but I have never had a problem with any of the back in spaces. Nearly all of the spaces are far enough apart that you do not feel cramped. I highly recommend this park for short or long stays.

Park is great, very well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpoful. We had a great say. I did't rate the restrooms as I did not use them.
We arrived a day early and they accommodated us with a reserved space. The next day we moved to our regular space. The Manager and all the help was real nice and helpful to us! Beautiful campground! Would definitely stay there again! Will also recommend this to others!!!
Great place to stay. It is one of the prettiest places we have stayed. It has a brook next to us and the pond right behind us. Easy to back in. Local TV is nice. Definitely ranks high on our list of places we would use again.
Great scenic location, friendly staff--our site was very small and close to other campers. We were unable to put out our awning as it would have butted up to next-door. Highway noise was a bit much. Restrooms were adequate and clean, only 2 stalls for showers (ladies), and one the shower head was removed. No ice available when we stayed. Price seemed high for the space.
We had a wonderful site next to the creek running through the park it was awesome. The site was mostly level with just a slight reparking we were level no adjustments. Beautiful flowers and well maintained. Our Motorhome is a 24' no slide. We will stay again next time we head up to Colorado.
This has got to be the best "drive in last minute" space we have ever stumbled across. I do recommend reservations, in case you are not as fortunate as we were. The staff worked extra hard at re-arranging things to get us a full hook up for 3 nights. This may sound generic but you will not be disappointed by this RV destination. I travel with my work dogs to different states, and normally the dog area is nasty. They are on top of being clean, and super dog friendly, with well manicured landscapes... Read More

A giant field with a fully stocked creek running off the river and a crazy amount of hummingbirds and feeders all over the park. We have not run into any bugs, you feel completely safe, clean, and you can relax! There is no after hours rowdiness, it is quiet, calm and honestly a destination I will look forward to coming back too.

We enjoyed our stay. We have a grandson with autism and he no longer liked fishing. He was excited to be able to catch large fish. He is now looking forward to fishing again. I loved that it was catch and release (no fish for me to clean). It is a beautiful park with trails and water surounding the park. We even had an escort which showed us our parking area. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.
Let me start with the good: 1. Grounds very lovely in the front ( street view) 2. Bathroom clean but only 2 showers and 2 toilets. Suggest going very early or late Now for the not so good: 1. No wi-fi was working for the 5 days we were there, all electricity went out when we first arrived in 100 degree weather. Great 2. No doggy bags supplied. No fencing to let your dog run like the web site says 3. We were in the "50's" row packed in like rats. If you were lucky enough to be on the river great... Read More

4. No swimming. Have a small spot in the river for children. If you want your child swimming next to where people are fishing with hooks. ( saw this myself).
5. Road noice. Right on the road
6. My sister was told not to use supermarket trash bags. Why not. That is crazy!!!
7. Had to ask for a picnic table and my sister received 1/2 of one.
8. No firepits at all. Means no campfires or marshmallows!!!
Overall for $48/nite this was horrible!!!
Would never go back here!

We spent 10 days at this park and the stay was great. A little noise from the highway; nothing we couldn't live with. The staff was friendly and very accommodating.
This RV park is wonderful! The total package...super nice people, grounds well kept and beautiful, great sites, clean bathrooms, and the Wifi actually works well!! Plan to come back here again!!
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very nice Park in a country setting, and lots of flowers. Several ponds with fish actually in them, I caught one. I had a need for a shady site and they accommodated that for my pull-thru. The Park was close to a highway, so there was some traffic noise. That same road led directly to Durango, and I chose this Park for the country setting. There is a large field, where the dogs can run.
This is one of the most beautiful parks/settings I've encountered. It is only 16 miles east of Durango on the Pine River. The grounds and flowers are a wonder. The staff is attentive and helpful at every turn. We have stayed here 7 of the last 8 summers and it is our park of choice. There are lots of trout in the private pond so you can fish without a license (catch & release). If you don't want to cook, there are several restaurants only 3 or 4 miles away. Several times during the summer there are park potlucks. The owners are onsite and ready to make you right at home. At times we have stayed and then left our 5th wheel there to visit family and friends. When we returned, the RV was back in our site and waiting for us. My experiences at this park have always been very positive. Watch out, this place is addictive. You won't want to leave.

Indeed the sites were beautiful, however they were located right beside the highway. The noise was deafening all day and all night. When we sat at the picnic table to eat dinner the first night, termites swarmed all over our feet.
The bath house was spotlessly clean but only had two showers and one was not operational. The water pressure was non existent and you had to set the knob all the way to cold, otherwise you were scalded. An attendant, came in and out of the bath house while it was
in use, to fill up water buckets to water the multitude of flowers around the property. Needles to say that played even more havoc with water pressure, not to mention the lack of respect for privacy for people using the facilities.
The laundry was very nice and many machines to use. A gentleman who was residing at the park for several months informed me that all the machines had just been repaired , after many complaints. His comment was the property owners were more concerned with the flowers and grounds than maintaining the infrastructure and providing for the needs of the people staying at the park.
This is a park we would love to return to if we are able to book a specific site in the back of the park. Again, I feel Good Sam needs to assess the review of this park.

This place is cute. Small. Friendly. Regular sites are close to each other. The facilities are clean. The location is about 27 minutes from Durango. Looked to be the prettiest setting compared to other closer rv parks. Close enough to major attractions. There are site close to the hwy that are pretty noisy. Best sites are off the pond areas at the back of the park.
Pretty place, but they have more rules than kindergarten. Don't expect to find them in writing, that'd eliminate the surprise. No pet bags, and they seem to have removed trashcans this year so you can visit the single dumpster more often.
