We planned on staying 4 nights and ended up leaving after 1 night. The section we were assigned was so tight that the neighbors picnic table was under our slide against our RV. It was very difficult for both of us to park our RVs. I have a 36 foot class A and his was a 5th wheel. We could not sleep because we could hear both neighbors talking in a normal tone of voice in their RVs. That's how close we were. I have never seen anything like it.
Nice campground super friendly staff. We will definitely return when we have the opportunity. Look, forward to being here when the trees have leaves. I'm betting summer and fall here is spectacular.
We stayed at this park for 5 nights and enjoyed it. The location is good, the grounds are well kept. There are a lot of permanent units there and some are definitely showing their age, but if you aren't an RV snob then, not a big deal. None of the people that live there tried to act like they owned the place, so it's all good. Our site was a pull thru, easy in easy out and with lots of trees for some good shade. Bathrooms very clean, they aren't new, but nice and most importantly very clean.... Read More

The pool area is nice and they have a pavilion that is attached to the store/office that's really nice as well. A square dancing group came in to use it one night while we were there, so that was interesting to watch.
The owner is as sweet as she can be. The cost of $35 is really cheap, but we wouldn't have batted an eye at paying $40 to stay here because it's as nice as any other places with that price. We'd definitely stay here again. Too bad they aren't a Good Sam Park. :)

Everything was great except the dogs that barked all night and day...
Stayed here four nights so we could visit Shenandoah National Park, Appomattox Courthouse, and Monticello. There are over 300 campsites; more than 200 are long term or permanent residents (decks, porches, fences, sheds and garages are all common). Most are in their own loop, but some are mixed in with the loop that seems to have been for overnight and short term campers. We stayed in the mixed use area next to a travel trailer that has not traveled in at least 20 years. It had a pitched metal... Read More

We stayed in the mixed use area next to a travel trailer that has not traveled in at least 20 years. It had a pitched metal roof added to the top and a 4x4 post supporting the a/c window unit. Sites have gravel parking pads; some have concrete for the picnic tables. Full hook ups with cable, but wifi was unreliable. When we checked in we paid for 4 days. After we saw the place we thought about leaving, but were directed to their clearly posted sign stating--
no refunds. I saw one Class A check in (I assume pay), drive to their site, drive back to the office and leave. I assume if they paid, then there was no refund.

This is a very nice park and a good value. The main building has great restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. Check-in and check-out were both easy, efficient, and timely. The campsites are clearly marked, easy to get into, and are all very level. The entire property is well maintained, and has an inviting appeal. We only stayed one night however; they do appear to have several long term resident sites as well. It's off the beaten path however, it is worth it to stay.
