This was my second stay at this campground in 14 months, as the previous experience was so positive. This campground experience is as close to a state or national park campground as you can get, with full hook-ups, well-maintained restrooms and showers, laundry facility and camp store as well as a dog run and kids playground. If you're looking for resort amenities, look elsewhere, but for an excellent campground with trees and decent space between sites, this campground is great. They have separate... Read More

They have separate tent sites, and even some cabin rentals. Their location is just far enough outside of Custer as to feel like you're in the forest, but close enough to everything from fuel, groceries, hardware stores, restaurants and quaint downtown Custer, to big attractions like Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Wind Cave National Park and Jewel Cave National Monument.

WOW!!! I cannot say enough about this campground! The reservation process was easy and the gal who helped me was so nice and helpful! She made the comment that it is so beautiful and peaceful there we wouldn't want to leave. And she was right! We loved it so much we extended our stay. I did not see one bad campsite. I loved all of the trees and wildlife. We could not believe the amount of deer and turkey roaming around. You can tell the family takes pride in their business. Everything... Read More

This is a great Campground. Level sites, plenty of space, well maintained facility. Nice staff. We will definitely be back.
This campground is located in a densely wooded area of the Black Hills. We saw 2-3 deer at our camp site every night. The sites were all shaded and level. Gravel roads were in good condition. Each of 4 spacious bathrooms had a locking door with a shower, sink and toilet included. Office personnel were very friendly and helpful. There was a small camp store and plenty of information available about things to see and do. There was plenty of room to walk the dogs. The campground is very close to Crazy... Read More

It was very quiet and peaceful even though we were there during a peak summer period. The campground is well maintained, family owned and well run. The advance reservation process was very professional.

Stayed for a week, water/electric site with 14' travel trailer right after Labor day weekend. 2 of is with 2 small dogs. Great location near Custer, close to Mount Rushmore. In the trees, clean, and restful location. Friendly and helpful staff, on phone and in person. Very clean facilities and property. Will definitely stay there again!
Nice family campground, everyone nice and helpful. It was little cold and water froze at camper. I liked the open type bathrooms.
Great experience, close to Custer State Park. Owner on site, & does daily tour of grounds to talk to guests. Sites nestled among Pondrosa Pines, Deer & Wild Turkeys visit almost nightly. Would stop again if in area.
What a lovely place to stay. Great location in the heart of the Black Hills. We had a family reunion and loved the fact that there where campsites, cabins, and tent sites. Really enjoyed our stay
Super nice people. Really cool.place to stay really liked campgrounds look forward to.coming back..
The site we were in was difficult to back into because of trees, the sight was really close to our neighbor's on one side and a steep incline on the other side, the Wi-Fi was spotty and slow, the employees were very friendly, RV Park is centrally located to attractions in the area. I would have given this park a 4 star if the site had been better, and Wi-Fi had been better.
This park is located in a perfict location to see all of the sites of the Black Hills. With its wooded yet large sites it offer a great experiance. The cable and WiFi worked great. This sites are large and fairly level (no major bridge work needed) , each has a table and fire ring. I will stay at this RV park again
The location is very central to the area attractions. Nice wooded area but very hilly. we were able to set up in a level site since our camper is small. The bathrooms were nice and each one is private with its own door.
Claen restrooms and showers, that's it!
Clean and well situated for visiting the area. Could only give three stars on overall rating because there is not a level site in the place that I could see. Many are so slanted that they require you to disconnect any towed vehicles at the check-in site, fearing that you will not be able to at your site. Ours was tolerable but I actually saw three others reject their assigned site.
