Not really a Good Sam Park. When I called to make my reservation, I told the woman on the phone I was a Good Sam member and she asked "what is that." I told her that they were a Good Sam Park and members got a discount. She said I could bring it up when I checked in. She told me that I would have to check in at the hotel front desk. The RV park has an office but apparently it is only open during the summer. Not knowing where the hotel front desk was in the casino, I parked in the front of... Read More

I told her that they were a Good Sam Park and members got a discount. She said I could bring it up when I checked in. She told me that I would have to check in at the hotel front desk. The RV park has an office but apparently it is only open during the summer. Not knowing where the hotel front desk was in the casino, I parked in the front of the building and had to walk all the way through the casino to get to the hotel in the very back of the casino. There are signs pointing you to the hotel as you walk through the casino but there are not any signs showing you the way back to the exit at the front of the building. You can actually drive around to the back of the building to get directly to the hotel front desk would have been nice if the woman on the phone told me that. The woman at the front desk that checked me in was the opposite of friendly. I asked her about the Good Sam discount and she said the same thing, "what is that." She turned around to another woman, maybe the manager, and asked her about it. The second woman went to the computer and said there was a place to enter Good Sam for the discount but couldn't find it. I finally told them to forget it. The first woman handed me a couple of key cards and hang tags which had my site number on it. She said to hang one tag in the vehicle and one on the post next to the site. I asked her how to get to the RV park and she handed me a brochure which had a map in it. She didn't bother to explain how to get to the park from the casino. The map was for the RV park but didn't show where the casino was on the map. So I drove back the way I came because I saw RVs before we got to the casino. I found the entrance to the RV park. I had to use the key card to get into the park since the guard shack was unmanned. The place you swipe your card was designed for people in Class A RVs. I had to get out of my Class C to swipe my card to open the gate and my wife drove through the gate and I walked around it to get back to my RV. We had a back-in site and turned the wrong way on the road because the map didn't show the best way to get to the site. So had to do some back and forth to back the RV in. The park is actually very nice. The site was level and the grounds were well kept. I didn't use the bathrooms or showers. Unfortunately, because we were there in May, the shuttle bus to the casino was not running. Luckily, I actually read the brochure and learned that we had to turn in the key cards before we left. Probably what the extra $25 refundable charge for incidentals on my bill was for. No one at the front desk told me that I needed to bring them back to the front desk. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you are here to gamble. We were just passing through and needed a place for the night. Just the hassle of getting checked in is enough to keep me from ever staying here again. If they are going to have the people at the hotel front desk check in the customers using the RV Park, they need to teach them to indicate on the map where the site is and the best way to get there. They definitely need to train the staff to be friendly and helpful.

The RV Park is really nicely landscaped and the roads and sites are fully paved, which we liked. There is a lot of room to manoeuvre your rig, which is great. The sites are quite long too, so your tow vehicle or truck fits easily into your space. If you bring your own golf cart the same applies. The middle of the park is government designated untouched wetlands and there are a lot of ducks and other bird life, and we found it really peaceful. If you want to bike or walk around the park, it's huge,... Read More

Because of COVID the shuttles were not running to the Casino, but that didn't really affect us on this trip. We would highly recommend this RV Park. Another thing is that when you find it hard to get in "last minute" to other parks, this one has many spaces, so you might have more luck here!

Camping rates when I arrived had gone up 40% over 2019 rates to $54. I checked some possible August dates the rates had gone even higher to $89. The campground over all is good but not $89 of good. But with the covid19 thing going on if your unit isn't self contained it could be a problem as the bathrooms are only open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Paper towel dispenser were empty late in the afternoon. I have really enjoyed coming to the park over the eight years. All I can say this year was... Read More

We've been staying in Hinckley for over 20 years. Early days featured cheap rates, full services, security, casino perks and friendly staff. Rates have recently risen to above average levels, service (WiFi) have fallen off the map, security is spotty, casino perks are gone, and friendly staff is now bureaucratic and overworked. Of particular concern is the WiFi. Service is advertised as available and free. Talk about false advertising. Just stick you head into the reservation center to see... Read More

Service is non-existent and complaints, like your email, go nowhere. Not deserving of a 10 / 10 / 10.

We stopped here just prior to July 4th and the park only had one site and we took it. The park is wonderful, great sites, good utilities, and friendly helpful people. Also their rates are fair at $35 for this park.

Everything you'd ever need in an RV park. Beautiful golf course right next door. Nice size pool, could probably use two because it was so crowded. Very nice laundry and club house. Shuttle every few minutes going to the Casino. Nice size lots for RVs. Well maintained. Excellent staff, very helpful.
