Was not a happy camper! Standing sewage in places pool was a dark shade of green mostly full time residents with junk cluttered spaces. I booked for a week and could not get our money back so we stayed (we needed to be in the area for a grandson's golf tournament). Refused to use laundry. Would not recommend or go back.

This park seems more well suited for permanent residents, transient workers or one-night stopovers rather than for vacationers. The staff and especially the residents were very nice, friendly and helpful. The park was clean, well marked and generally easy to navigate. It was also very quiet, except for the morning departure of a large number of diesel trucks headed to work. The lake is pretty and a few people came and fished. It was too cool to use the pool so we never got over to check it... Read More

It was too cool to use the pool so we never got over to check it out. Wifi is free but it doesn't work. The staff couldn't tell us which wifi address went with which difficult password so we spent a lot of time trying out all of the combinations. Once we figured it out, it still never stayed connected for more than a few seconds over the five days we were there. The residents, who also had bad wifi, said the local internet providers may have a better solution available to the area soon. Also, the sewage and septic systems can't handle the number of residents. Apparently the park is planning for an upgrade but, as of today, each site is allowed to dump only on one scheduled morning or afternoon a week, and never on weekends! That's a virtual impossibility for many small trailers and RVs. There is a dump site as you exit the park but it isn't convenient nor often feasible to move your trailer to the park entrance every few days to empty your tanks. An area of potential concern, not that we had to deal with it ourselves, is that the roads are all fine dirt. What happens when there are a few days of heavy rain? Perhaps when the upgrades are in place, the ratings for the campground will go up, considerably.

Despite reading the horrible reviews online my family and I decided to give this campground the benefit of the doubt and try it. Worse decision we could have made! This campground is 90% people who stay there full time. While the majority of the residents are very nice there is one set of rules for the overnight guests and another for the residents. We were advised numerous times of the "strict leash law" due to the owners free range chickens. After watching all of the full time residents let... Read More

This campground is 90% people who stay there full time. While the majority of the residents are very nice there is one set of rules for the overnight guests and another for the residents. We were advised numerous times of the "strict leash law" due to the owners free range chickens. After watching all of the full time residents let their dogs run rampant through every ones campsite the double standard of rules was very apparent. My 9 year old son accidentally let our older dog out of the camper and she was loose less than 5 minutes. The owner aggressively stormed into our campsite, stuck her finger in my face, and proceeded to scream at me "if your dog kills my chickens I'm going to kill your dog". Mind you this was in front of both of my children. So the pet friendly description is a blatant lie. I was informed after the fact by a long time resident that a similar situation had occurred a few months prior and the owner discharged a her pistol into the air in the middle of the common area while children were around. The sites are very tight. We could barely open our slide outs. The playground is a swing set and a slide. The pool was no where near open on Memorial Day weekend. There are no tables at the site unless you bring your own. The fire pit was filled with storm debris so we could not use it. The wi-fi was turned off. There are open sewer lines draining into the pond/lake. There is no security of any kind. The bath house and restrooms were closed the entire time we were there. There is a gun range that is heavily used so make sure you don't mind the sound of rapid fire. Only come here if you want to be lied to, threatened with violence, enjoy the sound of chickens 24/7 and the ambiance of heavy artillery!

Fully enjoyed my stay! This is a 100 acre campground in the Sandhills of NC surrounded by woods. A peaceful country setting. 3 lakes with non motorized boating and fishing. Beautiful large in ground pool. This is an older campground that is being kept up nicely.

It's horrible!! Road coming in is awful! Sites aren't level at all. Babies not allowed in pool unless potty trained... Water smells awful! Turns off your electric with no warning! It rained for two days they check pool and said it was urinated in because PH was too high. It was 90 degrees. Charges different prices for different people. People that aren't staying in campground can use pool or whatever! I've never stayed in a campground so bad ever!!
