Wright's was our first stop on our first camping venture years ago and continues to be an annual stop for our DelGrosso's amusement park visit. Small, quiet campground, in the convention center area, and close to I-99.

What a pleasant and quiet little campground, tucked into a very convenient location - easy access to anything you want to do in Altoona or Duncansville! I don't usually take time to do reviews, but really appreciated the outstanding, friendly attention to every detail, evident in cleanliness, landscaping, etc. Wish every campground was like this!

Very nicely maintained facility with a railroad (PRR) motif (the office/store has trains on display as well). Gravel roads and sites, with fairly level sites (campground is on a gentle downhill slope). Campground abuts a private lane with several houses, and is located about 300 yards off of Plank Road (major 4 lane road between Altoona and Hollidaysburg), road noise is minimal. Owners live on-site and will assist in pulling in (sites are tight, and the owners know where the wells/sewer lines... Read More

Laundry available, although we did not use it ($1.25 per machine). The owners host monthly socials (we were a week late for the May event), check their website. Campground is located within walking distance to a WalMart/Sams, a Primanti Brothers, and within a short drive of other restaurants/stores (I recommend the Prime Sirlion Buffet [~1.5 miles] for an AYCE breakfast buffet on the weekends [Fri - Sun]). Easy access to/from I-99 via Plank Road. The Logan Valley Mall is right at the I-99 exit. Not too far away from the Benzel's Pretzel factory store, the Boyer Candy [Mallo Cup] factory store, world famous Horseshoe Curve, Railroader's Memorial Museum, Altoona Curve stadium (minor league baseball), Lakemont Park, and a short [~ 1 hour] ride to the Flight 93 National Memorial. We stayed during Memorial Day weekend (5/25 through 5/30). We will definitely stay here again.
