We stayed from January 1st thru March 31. The campground is great, clean, good security, quiet with beautiful views and all of the amenities are well kept. Just be aware that it is not "pet friendly" it is barely "pet tolerant". There are a page of dog rules and regulations that exceed any KOA or other campground we have ever stayed at. You might say "so what", I did. The problem is that by having so many retired 65+ folks living at the campground who lean toward being nice but bored busy bodies who are "protecting their retirement investment", they will report any pet indiscretions to the office. You might again say "so what" but unlike other campgrounds, indiscretions will be followed up on. I have a RV because I have a dog that competes in various sports, not because I particularly like the lifestyle. I am here because of my dog, not in spite of it. Most of the resident retiree K9s appear to be little more than 4 legs and fur on a 6 ft string which do have their place in the world. Personally, if you have a dog that is more than 4 legs and fur on a 6 ft string, (shepherds, cattle dogs, retrievers, gun dogs, etc) I would avoid staying here. Otherwise I absolutely, positively, highly recommend it. Side Note: In April of 2024 the new "Wagging Tails" dog park is scheduled to open up 1 mile up Escalante from here. It looks to be one of the best dog parks I have seen nationally, other than some we visited in Wisconsin. So, I might be back...

First of all, this park is neat and clean and they have a lot of amenities that are nice to have when spending a long time in the park. First of all, this park is neat and clean and they have a lot of amenities that are nice to have when spending a long time in the park. The office is very helpful and the park guests are all very friendly. Unfortunately, this is a very old park that was not originally set up to accommodate large trailers or motorhomes. Each site is very narrow and parking a big rig almost requires the assistance of more than one person. Luckily, the neighbors immediately started moving tow vehicles to give us more space to maneuver and offered assistance to help with the parking process. The hindrance was the fact that a very large palm tree, and a street light, were right on the corner of the lot which impeded the parking process. A look down the street shows that almost every space has to contend with a tree that is growing in the wrong spot when it comes to trying to park a rig. The place to park our tow vehicle is very small and, once we were parked, the neighbor almost had trouble parking his truck because to open his door would mean that he would almost hit the side of our rig. We could open a window in the rig and almost touch his truck. Luckily, they turned out to be very nice people. Our “Patio” area was concrete but slimmer than a normal sidewalk. Again, all of the neighbors were very nice people. The facilities included a laundry that, unfortunately, was not adequate to accommodate over 400 RV spaces so finding machines to wash and dry could be a challenge. Additionally, they did NOT have enough garbage bins to accommodate the volume. Notes from the office included stern warnings, and an outright threat, regarding putting garbage outside of the bins but the bins filled up within 24 hours of being dumped and there was no other alternative. The other issue that I want to mention is the fact that they accommodated my request to have mail forwarded to them before we arrived and they did so without a problem. I paid a key deposit ($5) to pick up the mail, returned the key within five minutes, and they told me that they would refund the key deposit. They did not do so and I did not address the issue with the staff before we left. We were just very, very disappointed with the entire 7 day experience while there. We will not return.

Avoid this place. It is not an RV Park. It is a retirement community for permanent and semi-permanent residents. They use 'RV Park' as a marketing ploy. Many of the residents unfriendly. No open space at all. Every square foot has people packed in like sardines. They are not pet friendly, even though their marketing materials say they are. Dog park is a 15'x15' dirt pen. Sites are very tiny and all back in. Must be an expert driver to avoid damaging your RV. No cable TV unless you book... Read More

Will never stay here again.

We wintered here this year from December 2017 thru February 2018. The appeal was 55+, distance from metro area. There were a plethora of weekly/monthly activities provided by resort clubs/volunteers as well as activity office. RV sites were very close - separated by a row of flowering shrubs. We had difficulty backing our camper into site as a palm tree was also planted at center of parking/curb. (Perhaps if we had not been directly across from a park model we would have had an easier experience,... Read More

This is primarily an RV resort for permanent residents. However they have a section for daily, weekly visitors. Very well kept, good security. Residents were very friendly. Location is convenient for visiting local sites. Great cable and Internet.

While it is a beautiful place to stay. The sites are a real nightmare to back into. The sites are mostly located between permanent awning from long term mobile home and plam trees. We have a 40' diesel pusher and it took alot of work to park. That would have been enough but it is even harder to pull out. The narrow streets make it extremely difficult, grateful it was daytime. The cost is high as well. We only stayed a week. Will not return.

We booked over the phone, and they accepted the Good Sam discount. It is an over-55 retirement community with RV sites available. It's clean, well maintained, full concrete sites with two sewer fittings at each site. Each site includes a patio table and had 30amp, 50amp and 20amp service. The people I spoke to could not have been nicer. It is a bit noisy overhead, given its proximity to Davis Monthan AFB; it is very far off I-10, and the roads are not the greatest. That, however, is not their fault.... Read More

That, however, is not their fault. The biggest issue is that the RV sites are back-in only. With narrow streets and the beautiful landscaping at each site, I had my hands full backing in a 30' MH. Plus, we blocked the street while we disconnected our tow vehicle. If you're comfortable backing in tight spots, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this park
