My site was level and had nice trees/shade but was quite narrow. I should have read other reviews about "journey" KOAs and probably wouldn't have stayed 4 nights. entrance road could use a run with a scraper to fill in potholes. Otherwise, friendly staff and nice dog park.
Better than average KOA with a staff that seem to try hard to keep the camp clean and presentable. A nice office with a small convenience store. A medium sized clean pool was refreshing when the temps got into the 90's. This is a "journey" style KOA designed for shorter stays, so had lesser frills and bells and whistles than the destination resorts, but they did well with what they had, still providing a laundry, playground, ball courts and nice fenced bark park. Just over 100 sites, but only... Read More

Just over 100 sites, but only half with FHU, rest with combo of W/E only or just water. Mix of 30/50 amp so make sure you specify your needs.
We were assigned a W/E 50 amp site in what could be described as an afterthought area along the gravel entry road near the highway. Some road noise but not horrible. These are pulls thrus "face-to-face" with a 50 amp site facing an adjacent 30 amp, but they don't seem to assign the 30 amp sites (at least not during our stay) so what could have been a tight and awkward visit was ok with a bit of room to stretch in our front yard.
Not much to do in Bismarck, the ND State Capitol. There are all the big stores you'd need and restaurants, though this area is not exactly a culinary mecca. Dan's grocery store is half mile away, with liquor store next to it. KOA provides coupons for two nearby fuel stations for 8 cents/gal discount. Nice touch!

Clean, Shaded site, friendly staff, accessible to I-94. close to gas, restaurants and shopping
Stayed there when attending a wedding the staff is extremely nice and helpful. The park is very pet friendly had a wonderful dog walking spot as well as the dog park. Even put air in my trailer tires when I left . The site I had was level and enjoyed my 2 day stay. I didn't rate the restrooms since I did not use them but were being cleaned when I arrived. The lilac bushes were in bloom and it was beautiful. Will be staying there again.
Another nice KOA. Our site was grassy with shade trees. Nice and large but some of the larger rig sites were pretty small. Staff friendly and helpful. Bathrooms nice and clean. Conveniently located and well maintained. Would recommend.
We stayed 3 nights to visit nearby National Park Service sites while traveling through the area. The park is a mile to so drive from I-94 (Exit 161: Centennial Rd/Bismarck Expressway) along a busy multiple lane road that narrows to a 2 lane rural road. The turn into the park approaching from the interstate occurs at a slight hill so there is some vision restriction of oncoming traffic. There was an escort to the site. The sites are a mixture of back-ins and P/T's. The back-in sites appear to be extended stay sites. The interior roads and sites are compacted gravel. The interior roads and turns are very narrow and tight but we remained connected to the toad. The P/T sites could be considered short but were long enough that we didn't have to disconnect the toad. Site had enough room for opening slides. This park understands the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site as the sites were level and flat. Distance and hedge rows establish privacy between the sites but the sites were narrow and close to each other. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30 AMP), & sewer. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. There was an outside table. Above ground fire pits were allowed only on assigned sites.
There was an extensive tree canopy over most of the park so satellite reception would be dependent upon site assignment and your dish configuration. The park brochure showed 12 broadcast channels. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels.
The park provided WiFi was good. It was password protected. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well. Didn't try the NET10 phone so don't know about cell phone reception.
The designated fenced pet area with a sandy surface was located towards the front of the park. There were bag dispensers and collection stations for waste in the fenced pet area. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park's roads.
For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter. None of the structures in the park were identified as a severe weather shelter.
The park was quiet in a nice rural setting but there weren't many campers.
We would probably stay here again if traveling through the area.

Busy park with all gravel sites and roads. Very windy when we were there so traffic through park kicked up much dust which blew into RV till we closed it up. Our site was too short for our rig and tow - had to unhook and park truck sideways. Park was full both nights we were there. They show you to your site and help get you parked. Utilities worked well but usual slow wifi and no cable. Good store and laundry. There were some bigger sites but I made our reservation when we had a 35 ft. RV... Read More

We stayed on one of the premiere pull thru sites and it was excellent. Plenty long and extremely level for our 36' 5th wheel. I opted to back out when leaving as it seemed quickest for me but there appeared to be plenty of room to pull out. The staff were very friendly. Entry into the campground is a bit busy with traffic but well worth it. I'd recommend this campground and would definitely stay here again.
This is a large wooded quiet campground with lots of trees and vegetation separating the sites. The pull thru sites are long and level, with a gravel surface. The staff was friendly and check in was quick. The park is kept very clean. There are some long term residents but they were quiet and their sites were nicely kept. We were unable to use the satellite antenna due to the many trees and there is no cable but there were over the air channels available. Wi Fi was not too bad but slow periodically.... Read More

Very friendly and helpful staff.
Nice camp site, friendly people
Easy to find camp ground with clean facilities. From check in to being guided to our spot was top notch. Only drawback for us, was the pull through we had been give was easy to get into but getting out, we had to wait for our neighbors to leave first. It did give us a chance to meet them and we chatted for a while. Had they not been leaving we'd have had to ask them to move their truck so we could leave. Like I said, it was the only drawback. We had a good time, and a good place to eat is the Texas... Read More
