This park has a five star community feel. Families and seniors were present so it felt more like a neighborhood than then the over 55 parks. This park has a five star community feel. Families and seniors were present so it felt more like a neighborhood than then the over 55 parks. The staff is welcoming and helpful and want your stay to be the best they can offer. The grounds are clean, with shade and generous concrete pads with a picnic table. The pull in sites can accommodate most rigs. Even during this awful pandemic, the mood at the park was upbeat and their staff followed the guidelines 100%, showing five star regard for their clients. The surrounding area around the park was very busy, but once in the park, it was quiet and the park provided many reasons to just stay in the park, including the the Sand Castle Cafe, which serves coffee and breakfast. The store was well stocked for this venue. The cable was sufficient as well as the internet. If you choose to go out of the park, there are waterfront parks within 2 miles. We saw a beautiful sunset there. Other attractions are also close by to the park. Grocery stores, restaurants, and other retailers are right outside the park. There is a running/bike path next to the park which connects to other paths and ends at the bay. San Diego is a great place to visit in California. The weather was great after being in Arizona.

The loud and crowded is due to the enormous amount of people allowed to stay at each site...crowded RV's and crowded tents sharing the same sites. Traveling full-time in a 42-foot coach, we stayed here five nights. Four words describe this park...loud, crowded, cramped, and unmaintained. The loud and crowded is due to the enormous amount of people allowed to stay at each site...crowded RV's and crowded tents sharing the same sites. The cramped feeling is due to the extremely small sites. The unmaintained is due to the lack of maintenance performed at the sites before the next guest arrives. Candy wrappers, a half eaten apple, part of a purple glove stuck in the gunk by the sewer line, a partially burnt fire log and ashes inside a rusted and leaning fire pit greeted us at our site when we arrived. We live in the age of WIFI technology and there's nothing to stop any RV Park across this country from investing in decent WIFI. For some users such as ourselves, WIFI is an important feature and was one of the reasons for our stay here. We were told both by email and phone that each site had a good wifi signal. The wifi in-and-around our site was just about non-existent. We were in direct sight of two wifi towers, yet we still couldn't get a decent connection, even at 5 am. Other guests we spoke with also had non-existent wifi! We know enough not to count on a good signal over the weekends, but during the weekday, there is no excuse. We even have the WIFI-Ranger on our roof with a direct-line-of-sight to their wifi source. Level pads, big coaches need paved or thick gravel pads that are level. We give this park a 5-star rating in this category. Maneuverability, some parks have very narrow roads which make backing up and turning very difficult, we found this park to be very challenging to maneuver a rig of our size. Dust, some parks are so dusty that even after short stays your unit needs a bath, not here, the dust on our coach was very minimal compared to many other parks. Satellite, as you know satellite reception is very hard to receive when you have large trees, and it is unlikely you will receive reception because of all the tall beautiful trees surrounding the park. Phone Service, we have AT&T which worked great here. Plenty of places to walk your dog here, there is even a fenced dog area. Unfortunately, the bad outweighs the good...we can't recommend staying here.

My Wandering Elks Group II Camping Group uses this facility at least 6 times per year. The owners and their staff are top notch. I would highly recommend this KOA Campground. We usually have 30 to 50 rigs at each camp out.
