Easy access off of the Interstate. The personnel at the registration desk was pleasant and helpful. Be warned: If it rains, you will contend with a muddy mess! The roads and sites are comprised predominantly of dirt with some gravel mixed in. Unfortunately for us, it rained the prior night. It was a miserable situation with a lot of ponded water on the roads and sites and the mud was deep. This certainly wasn't worth the $48 cost for a one-night stay.
This is a clean and well maintained park with easy access to I-80. It is far enough off of the freeway that road noise was not an issue to us. We were given a pull-thru site for our 24' travel trailer. All sites are gravel and ours was almost perfectly level. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful and the store was reasonably well stocked. The main downside we found here was the buddy-style hookups where two spaces face each other thus sharing hookups with the unit behind. While I'm... Read More

While I'm sure it increases efficiency and profitability for the owners, in my view the loss of privacy and sense of cramped quarters keeps this park from ever being a destination in itself. With that being said, there are sites available at a higher price that provide more privacy and for a place to park for the night while passing through it works fine. We would stay here again.

I am not used to camping in gravel parking lots. I do understand that nothing grows here but the staff really make up for the appearance. This is also another campground which we were told is "buddy camping" where the utilites are shared on the back and your neighbour faces you. They call Chicago the windy city, but it does not hold a candle to this place. Dust is continually blowing and awning are not left out. The washrooms were immaculate but the pool was murky probably due to it being very... Read More

The washrooms were immaculate but the pool was murky probably due to it being very sunny, dust blowing in rather than from over use. I could not see my feet on the bottom at the 4 and 5 ft level. Another campsite used by travelers that fills up at supper time and empties in the morning
Would I retun? Yes

Great for a night or two and spots are close to level, where they help you pull in to where you are level. The dog park is fantastic and employees friendly to where we are thinking of becoming KOA members also.
Rock Springs KOA Typical KOA. Gravel sites on high, dusty desert plains. The pool was ok- the kids enjoyed it! The dog park was nice and grassy but it needed mowed. Our site was level with RVs are facing each other so you'd better like your neighbor. If you need internet, forget it! It's horrible! Good for overnight stop.
Info for park does not list sites as side by side hookup. Very busy park and seems be crowed, too close to your neighbor. There are 5 very nice sites that are new. Did not use facilities or restrooms.
The people at the desk were super friendly and very helpful. The sites were lightly gravelled and would probably be muddy if it rained. The wind blew and blew, not the parks fault. But we were unable to open our awning. There are some sites with wind fences ($$). Very easy to get to and move around. The park is very clean and the long-term campers are in a seperate area. Park employees are always driving around picking up any wayward trash (very windy on our stay). We dont have pets but the pet... Read More

Park employees are always driving around picking up any wayward trash (very windy on our stay). We dont have pets but the pet corral was pretty big, grassy, and had shelters (for you) and play structures (for Fido). A nice little playground for the kids at the other end of the park. The laundry was very clean (Di is OCD about cleanliness) and had a TV if you want to watch and wash. Prices seemed reasonable. There is a small camp store for essentials. The park is easy to get to and move around in. The park is a mile out of Rock Springs so shopping and services and restaurants are very close. Fortunately for us, Whisler Chevrolet is very close and extremely helpful.

Just stayed overnight with our 5th wheel. Easy access, friendly staff. We were there just after a rain storm and the park gets pretty muddy.
Very friendly staff, easy access from I80 and bathrooms are very clean. This is a great stop to escape the Wyoming winds. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
