Don't....Things started off bad when we called them, they charged us an additional $4 I guess for the use of the phone. They said all lots were level. No where close to being true. Dunbar arrived at his first assignment, Sedgwick where the Troops had been living in dug out caves with lots of filth everywhere. Very tight, washed out roads up the hill to your site. Little to no water pressure. Luckly we were hauling our own water and that's what we used. We were only there for a one night but would have rather pulled off in a parking lot now that this nightmare is over. The bath house smelled really bad and was very dirty. Most of the campers there appeared to be homesteaders. I wonder how they keep a Good Sams rating. The only positive thing was the two people working at the desk. They were very nice. I would not stay here ever again.

Our site was not even close to being level! Had to level our trailer the best we could with every leveler block and wood we had and still wasn't good. Could not sit at the picnic table or around the fire pit because of the downward slope. We had a pull through site, however our truck and trailer could not both fit in the site inline. Had to park the truck in front of the trailer (like a T). Our 20' waste tube could not reach the dump port on site and even if it could there was some different top... Read More

Our 20' waste tube could not reach the dump port on site and even if it could there was some different top that would not have fit on our connector. So although we paid for a site with full hook up we needed to drive to the dump station onsite before leaving. In the morning we had to ask the campers across from us to move their vehicle that was partially on the narrow drive/road so could get out of our site. We only stayed 1 night so no comments on the facility, the park did look pretty though. Would not stay again.

Reserved a 4 days stay here based on Good Sam ratings and location. Got a pull through with full hook ups. Upon arrival a pickup was parked in our reserved space, but that wasn't the worst of it. Upon seeing the site, it was on dirt/gravel and on about a 30 degree decline. There is no way I could have leveled my motorhome in that space. My jacks aren't even that long. The office was closed (in the middle of the day) so decided to just find an empty site I could level in. Circled the park about 3 times and finally found one I was able to get level in, but both from wheels were off the ground 2-6 inches.
Texted the owners to tell them what site I parked in and finally was called back and told the rent on that space was more than double what my original was.
This entire RV park is on the side of a hill. Even travel trailers parked here have their rear bumpers dug into the ground to be able to level.
My last time here. Would rather stay in a Walmart parking lot and dry camp.

Upon arrival to the site we noticed it was muddy and water was dripping from the Water hook up. A pair of pliers were balanced on the post for the Water hook up. Pliers were used to turn on/off the water supply. We figured it was late in the season and the Water valve probably just broke and it will be first on their list of repairs in the off season. Then we found we could not level our travel trailer. The site was poorly graded, and they used large fist sized rocks to create a "pad". The Campground was built on a hill and all the sites around us were not even close to being level. We "tried" to level the trailer as best we could with interlocking leveling blocks(we used all 10 blocks). When we left the next day and picked up our leveling blocks we found the plastic was all bent and distorted from the large rocks.

We used this facility when the office was not staffed. Therefore, very little services, self sign-up and pay. The sign up for the sites was ambiguous with occupied sites not labeled. The sites were terrible, with poorly maintained roads. Sites were NOT LEVEL and too short to handle Class A with tow. There was a nice little lake or pond with a little beach area that was nice. The only good thing is that the park is right off of I80 near Iowa City. Other campers were equally disgusted by the... Read More

First, it was raining when we arrived. No one can help that. However, the site was MUDDY with a large puddle right where the hitch / jack had to be managed. There was a significant amount of water running through it. We specifically stated we had a 34' trailer. The site was a total of 40' long - no provision to park the tow vehicle. Where there was not mud, the site was paved with large rocks. No where to comfortably get out of the trailer. Also, the electrical box had a broken receptacle. We were... Read More

We were able to use it, but were afraid to run AC or heavy loads. Oh, and did I mention the site was not level in either direction? I can't recommend this site. There was not a good thing to say about it. Ive been camping for over 40 years, and this ranks among the worse.

We were passing through back to IL and needed a place to camp for one night. Found this place on the Good Sam website. Got to the office after hours on a Sunday afternoon so completed the self registration and deposited the money. Then figured out we would not fit with our motor home and trailer into an available site. We left and after emailing with the owner, I was pleased to receive a full refund in the mail. Looked like a fun place to spend time from what we could see.
Stayed 1 night in 30' 5er. Large campground with lots of trees and shade. Level gravel sites with grass, very clean and attractive. We didn't see much but it has a lake for swimming and fishing. The site we had was tight but no problems. I would stay here again.
Roads potted badly with obvious lack of concern, motor home didn't like it AT ALL. Pull thru very narrow and and short, had to unhook small toad vehicle and park elsewhere. Gravel pull-thru VERY un-level and levelers sunk completely into the ground. The camp ground is very hilly and obviously a seasonal campers setup. NOT A GOOD PLACE FOR OVERNIGHTERS!!!
Made reservations two weeks in advance for one night going and three days later returning.Told them I had a 40 ft.trailer, towing it with crewcab p/u, and I did not want to unhook for the night. I was given to level spots ,70ft long.Great. when I arrived Both Times, I had been moved to the side of the hill. Found out they were making room on their better sites for monthly guest. The facilities were good and didn't have any issues with the roads. I agree with the comments regarding the sites to the east of the lake. Our first assigned site was not level as claimed. It was actually on a 3% grade. However, we were reassigned to another site on which we were able to level our rig. Good for an overnight stay along I-80.
My biggest complaint is the sites are not at all level. The first site was so sloped I couldn't level my trailer. Had to hook up, move and go through the hassle of setting up on another site. Not much better.
A wonderful park to stay at. Very roomy, lots of shade trees, friendly people working the facility. An actual RV park, not a make shift park. Cost was good, location to the freeway was great. Nice pool and pond. Will definitely stay here again for long term not just a one day event.
We spent an evening in the campground on our way through the area. We had a full hookup site on the east side of the lake. We had no issues with leveling the trailer like other reviews mentioned. It was a nice lake view and you really didn't notice any noise from the highway. We didn't spend enough time to take advantage of all of the services there but everything was neat, clean, and the people were friendly. The only reason we're not giving it a 5 star rating is the road. It was very dusty... Read More

The only reason we're not giving it a 5 star rating is the road. It was very dusty and could use some pot hole repair. It's not worth a full star reduction but I can't give 1/2 star rating here. If we lived closer, we would definitely come back.

Wasn't sure what to expect based upon other reviews but we found this to be a lovely campground. Arrived after the office closed but information was waiting for us with clear directions to our site - a pull through with FHU. Roads were quite bumpy; site was gravel and uneven but leveling system compensated. Nice grassy areas around the site and site was a good size. Lake was lovely wth a resident goose family; pool was clean and appealing; grounds in general seemed well maintained. There is a... Read More

There is a bike rental shop on site, and a small convenience/snack shop - we arrived late so didn't go into either but these are nice touches. Buildings in general are older and seem well-used.
This is a rather pretty campground once you pass the entrance gate with a nice, welcoming 'feel'. We would definitely stay here again.

We stopped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park for a one night stop in route to our next destination. We had made advance reservations and showed up after the office closed. WiFi was good and free. We would most definitely use this as another rest point or maybe a longer stay in the future. The park was laid out nicely... Read More

The park was laid out nicely with plenty of grass and trees to give it that park feel along with a very clean lake. They do allow fishing in the lake on a catch and release basis. Very easy to get in and out of, We met the owners as we checked out the next morning and were very friendly and made us feel that we were truly welcome.

I agree with Cheryl Lee that the sites, on the east side of the lake, are not that camper friendly. The sites north of the lake are better. That being said we encountered a massive storm that blew tree limbs all over the place. It was so strong that limbs blew halfway across the lake from the west. The crew was out in force clearing the campground at first light. If you are pulling a toad especially on a dolly request a site on the north side. The sites on the east side of the lake are not spacious... Read More

If you like ruts in the road, sites far from level and on the side of a hill with no place to sit outside your RV this is the place for you! We had to buy a step stool just to get to the bottom step of the camper! The WiFi didn't work at all unless we went to the pool area. There is no cable tv either. There is no dog park although there is ample space to put one in. The pool is very nice but that's about the best that can be said. If you just want a one night stop it will do but don't plan... It's just not our style.
