What can I say...The coast is beautiful. But this place takes it to a new low. We were packed in like sardines. There is no privacy whatsoever. I suppose if you like being in crowds and having loud neighbors all around you it is OK. But really this place is not camping. It is cash extraction of unsuspecting souls. Take a look at Yelp and then decide. The store had a lot of stuff. But the prices were high. The beach was great. There were a few homeless people there on the beach.
The campsites are too close together. So close together that we could not open our awning and it was uncomfortable to sit outside because we you were so close to the next camper. The fire ring of the space next to us was next to our bedroom window. The campers next to us stayed up until midnight talking. Pay showers that were very hard to adjust and the max. temp of the water would scald you. We won't be staying here again.
We stayed for 10 days in a 28 ft travel trailer with full hookups. Pluses: Staff was cheerful, helpful and pleasant. The store had a nice selection and was not very expensive. The area is excellent, right across from a beach and close to Jughandle, Mendocino and Fort Bragg. We also were able to visit the Westport RV park and had better fishing there. Minuses: The park roads are dirt/gravel and not kept up.We had a site that was difficult to back into on the apex of a curve and the mud was incredible.... Read More

The water had the turbidity factor of watered down coffee; it quickly overcame our RV water filter and we had to flush the system when we left. The restrooms, although clean, are terribly old and out of date, with very little lighting. The washing machines were sour; there is obviously high humidity, but the park requires that the washer doors remained closed and so you really must wash with bleach. In the rain, there is no where for the water to drain off the pad so you need to be careful when walking/driving.
All in all, the location is the only thing that makes staying here worthwhile.

We were packed so close together we barely had space to move around. There wasn't two feet between my trailer and the one behind me. The rig next to me was so close only one of us could open our canopies. It was noisy and our neighbors fire pit was about three feet away from our bedroom window. The beach is great, but we will never stay there again.
My initial phone conversation was pleasant. The directions to the camp site were good. The sites were bare, mostly pea gravel and weeds. The beach access was close and clean. The store was small and not very friendly. The showers were .25 for a min and I think 2$ for 7min, they were dark and filthy, very disappointing. The laundry facility was .25 for 7 min which did not dry the wet shirt I had, I ended up turning on the car and used the car heater. The park was quiet and close to other tourist... Read More

The park was quiet and close to other tourist attractions, which was a bonus. But for $50 a night, full hook ups, the facility didn't have much to offer. The garden upon entering was beautiful, it also appears there are many full time residents as there were multiple "tiny" houses. Space 26 looked like a good site out of all of them. They were pet friendly for a fee and had several trash bag stations. I wouldn't recommended this camp ground to others, but it does have potential. I'm a yelp user too and will write a review there too.

This park is NOT big rig friendly. We have a 38' fifth wheel and full-sized truck and could barely make one of the turns, came within inches of signs on the back right of the trailer and front left of the truck. The sites are so narrow that our slide was about one foot from our neighbor's slide. If you don't have automatic levelers, this is a difficult place to level because the sites are not anywhere near level. The sites were very muddy too making leveling even more difficult. If you plan on staying here, bring in your own water. The water that came out of their system was brown, we weren't sure we even wanted to shower in it, let alone use it for cooking.
If you need wireless to work, like we do, this is not the park for you either. The wireless never worked inside our rig and I could barely get a signal outside our rig. Cell phone reception is poor too so we couldn't even use our own jet pack for internet.
The location to the Mendocino coast is great but we found other parks when we were driving around that were much better.
