Absolutely under no circumstances should you consider this campground! The lack of maintenance and upkeep is dangerous - broken windows, standing dead trees waiting to be blown onto your camper (dead for a long time I might add, the bark is off as are almost all of the limbs) and numerous dead trees that have fallen. We have been RVing for years and never seen such a lack of care - a few weeks before memorial day and winter clean-up still remains to be done. It says quite a lot when the permanent... Read More

It says quite a lot when the permanent RV's move out, as have most of them here, leaving behind the permanent decks and sheds to rot away. Really, really sad. Obviously many years since Good Sam reviewed this member.

This is NOT a big rig friendly campground!!! This place is a mess, tree branches hanging down, narrow roads, tight turns, sites are not level at all. Weeds everywhere, grass needs mowed, dead trees laying around along with piles of wood. Dirt sites, for luck it didn't rain, so unlevel my husband gave up trying to level us. When we called to confirm we would fit we asked hard questions, they told us no problem and promptly took our credit card, the place is a big problem. The ratings for this... Read More

The ratings for this place are very wrong, their sign is falling down, the office hasn't seen a good cleaning or paint in forever. We have never encountered anyone as rude as this lady at the counter, she just kept laughing when I told her really didn't think we were going to be able to get onto our site. She could talk to her children but chose to laugh and nod her head with me. If it hadn't been a Friday night we would have left to look for another campground or a Walmart. She had no problem charging us $47.00, was able to ask for that.

Very nice and quiet camp ground. Stayed in late October so it was cold and only had a few campers there. The only thing negative is that the store could use a larger selection of merchandise. Very nice layout with spacious sites with trees all around and full hook ups. It snowed the morning we left. Just enough to cover the ground and the snow make everything that much more beautiful. Will definitely do back in warmer weather.
What a beautiful place to stay! So quiet and pretty here. We stayed here because our daughter was playing in a local soccer tournament and campgrounds are much cheaper than hotels. What pleased me the most was that there was no problem for me to arrive earlier than the 2pm check in and that I could leave after the 2pm checkout...just pay $1 for every hour past checkout. No problem. The soccer tournament lasted late into Sunday afternoon and there was no way I could take my RV to the soccer fields.... Read More

The staff here was so nice and allowed us to keep our RV in the park as long as we needed. I will be staying here again. The only little issue was that the road surface is higher than the parking spot so it took some extra finagling getting my rig unhooked from the hitch. Also, watch out for trees on exit from your spot for there is the potential to destroy the RV if you are not careful.

We will never stay here again! This was the worst campground I have ever been to. The staff were extremely rude. They didn't seem to want to help anyone or answer questions. It took them over an hour to deliver firewood to our site the first night we were there, and over 5 hours the third night. We had 2 small kids wanting a fire, and no fire wood. It shouldn't take 5 hours to get wood to a site. The website states that they have wagon rides, but that is not always true. One day they had... Read More

The website states that they have wagon rides, but that is not always true. One day they had the ride, but it showed up 1 hour past the time it was supposed to. The second day it was cancelled last minute.
The site itself that we backed into had glass in the gravel, garbage in the grass, and the sewer hookups were horrible. It was a PVC pipe sticking out of the ground with no way to screw your sewer hose into it. The sewer hose had to lay on top of it. When we emptied our tank, we had to hold down the hose on the pipe and even then, some leaked out onto the ground.
Please do not waste your time or money on this campground.

Never again. We stayed one night in a pull-through site that was very unlevel. We took a walk through the campground and saw that almost all of the sites are unlevel. There are a lot of seasonal people here, which is not a problem for us. They come for the fishing. The lake is beautiful. Actually this wouldn't be a bad campground except for the fact that if you put your levelers down and don't use boards, the wheels of your motorhome are off the ground.
