We come to Isla Blanca every Christmas and New Year. It's always nice and people are friendly. Most 50amp spots are paved or concrete. The snow birds can do what they want with their site, so some are much nicer than others. We typically see the same people every year. Restroom/Shower facilities are ok, but could use some updating. They recently redid the boardwalk and its a great place to stroll along the beach, without being in the sand. It is lighted at night, for nice evening walks. This... Read More

This is a public park so you'll have a lot of day passers. Its not too bad in the fall/winter, but can get very busy in the Spring/Summer. Depending on where your spot is, a golf cart is handy. There is very little "nice" grass and a lot of goat head stickers, so no bare feet and keep an eye on pets. Also, don't miss the check in building, its easy to do. Its on the right, just past the KOA. There is a large parking area and will accommodate all rigs. They are typically friendly and quick, however this year was a process because of the extra precautions they were taking. We always look forward to our trips to Isla Blanca and look forward to when we can stay more than 2-3 weeks at a time.

Isla Blanca. Nice, clean, manicured park. There are sand bursts on outer walk areas but you are 50 feet from the beach and all the dirt is sand. I've seen worse in NM or AZ. There is no dog run and no off leash areas including beach. Not much grass areas but lots of beach area to walk. Showers are old but clean and no private bench area to get dressed. I was there during snowbird season so the guests were friendly and park quiet at night. Pavel, level slots with cement patio and picnic table. Big... Read More

Easy access to main road on the island. Most difficult thing is to check in you must stop at white building (about block from county park entrance). Its marked but not obvious when you dont know where you are going. Its right after entrance to KOA.
