Excellent Park! stayed 3 nights. Decent location as an base camp to visit San Antonio. Approx. 5-6 miles to downtown are to access river walk. Drove to the Hill Country one day from here as well. The park is very busy with lots of RV'ers staying here. All of the immensities mentioned are above average. Great place to stay.

We stayed a few days while visiting the sites in San Antonia. This was a great location, close to downtown and right on the Mission Trail. River access was right at the park. For those who want public transportation, the bus stops in front on a regular basis. Very clean, nice amenities. Sites were spacious. Quite a few full timers but all were well kept. Make sure you follow the directions given on their website as some of the more direct routes are NOT rig friendly! We were warned at check-in... Read More

Made reservations during San Antonio Stock Show. When I called to make a reservation they told me they had a spot for our 38 foot fifth wheel, said it would be tight but we would fit, the lady I spoke to even put me on hold to confirm with her manager. Got there and my kids had to climb on top of camper to cut away branches so it wouldn't tear up our camper. She told him he couldn't park on the grass, even though they gave us a spot that was too small and there was nowhere for us to park. Then a man came by on a golf cart and was also hateful. We just wanted a nice family friendly park. Will not stay here again.

We finished a 5 day stay here and really enjoyed our time. This park is centrally located to many of the San Antonio attractions. You can bike or bus to the River walk and the Missions, including the Alamo. There is a beautiful walking/biking path that runs along the San Antonio River. This park recycles which is a big plus!!

ATTENTION DOG OWNERS. VERY RESTRICTIVE! (I'll get to that in an minute) Found this campground from the Good Sam app on my phone. The overall score was pretty high. Tried to book online but was having problems. Called and made reservations for same day arrival. Staff was pleasant and helpful. I did notice under "policies" on the app they have restrictions on dog bread, dog quantity and dog "restrictions". They need to add ON THE APP they do not allow DOG CARRIERS/PENS/KENNELS/FENCES (this information... Read More

I did notice under "policies" on the app they have restrictions on dog bread, dog quantity and dog "restrictions". They need to add ON THE APP they do not allow DOG CARRIERS/PENS/KENNELS/FENCES (this information is on a printed sheet they give you but usually don't read til after you're all settled in) Had I seen that information or been told at the time of making the reservations I would not have stayed here. We have stayed at 100s of campgrounds and not once have we been told we couldn't have our dog fence up and worse we had a rather rude man in a golf cart come and bang on our trailer, dam thing shook and dogs went nuts, and told us we had to take it down (which we did, went to talk with someone in the office but it closed at 5:30) Wondering if this man even worked here. We were here with fence up a couple hours and it wasn't until AFTER the office was closed this man shows up (I will talk to office staff in AM about this) also talking with another gentleman about what happened he said "oh yeah he's pretty abrasive". I understand campgrounds can make their own rules but it would be a good idea, especially with listing "policies" regarding dogs, that they list all of them so people can decide if they want to stay. Read other reviews as well. This campground is NOT in a nice area of town. There is no gate to keep non tenants out and sounds like the theft of bikes is somewhat common.

We stayed here for five nites. Gravel spot with concrete pad and table. Clean park. Able to hop on the local bus to go downtown right across the street. Very high water pressure so need a pressure valve. Laundry is super clean and spacious.

This is a nice park in a poor part of town. The surrounding area is dicey but the park itself is very nice. The sites are large and well groomed. The roads are paved and there is an abundance of greenery and shade. The pool area is nice and the amenities (game room, fitness center, cable tv, and internet) were very good. There is a Walmart nearby to allow replenishment of your supplies before setting up your site. Lyft is only 9 bucks to the Riverwalk and we made several trips during our stay.... Read More

What a clean and neat place to stay. Even the space where you put your 5th wheel on, the rocks had been raked. Easy in and out access. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I definitely would recommend this place and stay there if I came back to San Antonio.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this RV park for our honeymoon. The park was well kept, had wonderfully clean restrooms and showers and a fun dog park for our dog B. The location is perfectly situated close to downtown, the Riverwalk and the Alamo. We were pleasantly surprised with the park and would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Pulled in with no reservations, yikes! The front desk was so helpful, even coming out to the camp site to make sure my big rig would fit. Lesson learned, make a reservation for this place! Careful though, the GPS directions don't bring you into the park the right way if you have a Big Rig! Low bridge one way and very bad railroad crossing on another! Follow the directions on their website and use Military Avenue. Wi-fi is great, power is clean, and plenty to do near by in San Antonio.

Very clean, heated swimming pool, excellent wifi, public transport at the gate.

Great location close to the Alamo and Missions. Park was very quiet and clean. Will stay again when going back through San Antonio. Pool was heated and spa felt great. Play area for kids was nice, although watch out for wasp nests as we saw a few on the play equipment. Sites are close together, we had a back in site that was clean and level.

We arrived when it was very hot. Both of their pools were wonderful. The WiFi was absolutely excellent. The restrooms were clean and readily available--no punching in codes. The price may have been off-season, but was the lowest of our six-week trip.

This was an awesome park. Clean, friendly, well kept, good location-close to downtown, missions etc. There were some permanent residents, all were very well kept, about half permanent, half RVers. I hurt my back and could not walk or stand. I was admitted to the hospital for several days, thus needing to extend our stay. They were very accommodating and expressed concern for my well being. Really appreciate this great park.

Like other carefree locations we have stayed at this park offers quiet, trees, pull throughs and a great location for starting the mission trail of spending time on the River Walk. We will be back.

This was our first major trip in our 5th wheel trailer with San Antonio as our destination. We were so impressed with this Travelers World Carefree RV Resort and will look up other Carefree resorts for future trips. The directions to get to the resort, which came from the facility, were easy to follow. We would recommend getting those directions rather than using GPS since there are some underpasses with low clearance nearby. We stayed six nights. We were very impressed with the way the facility... We were very impressed with the way the facility is maintained - grass was cut and trimmed, the common facilities (showers, dog park, streets, laundry and unused RV parking spots) were nice and clean. Whenever a guest left, the spot they had occupied was cleaned up and the gravel was raked before being occupied by another guest. While we did not use the pool, we noticed that other campers were using it and it appeared to be well kept. Camp employees were very friendly and helpful. There is a bus stop that is directly across the street from the RV Park that we used extensively to get us into the downtown area where a lot of the San Antonio attractions are located. We used it extensively during our stay. The front desk has information regarding the bus schedule and we found a number on that schedule that you can text to get the actual arrival time for the next bus for a particular stop which can help alleviate time spent sitting and waiting for the bus. Within a few blocks there is a Wal-Mart and other shopping facilities if you need supplies. The resort itself carries some supplies and you can get propane tanks refilled if needed.

They parked us by the road and propane refill station which was not the best. I was very pleased with the personal and the cleanliness of the park. They have a no refund policy but I was having heating issues with my trailer and decided to leave a day early and they did refunded me one night's stay. I will be back and when traveling to other areas I will be looking for Travelers World Carefree facilities to stay.

It is a good small Park, the Prices are to high for what they have to offer, Management could use some work, The Park its self looks like at one time it was a happy one, but now there is a feeling I cant put into words. If you are looking for a Park for the night, this would be ok. If you have bikes, make sure they are extra chained, for it has had 4 different times bikes have been taken, this year alone

When we arrived at the park we were surprised by how pretty it is. There are treed and sunny areas, a nice pool and hot tub, playground for kids, and a small off-leash dog area. Pull-through and back-in sites are available, some sites are large to accommodate bigger rigs. The resort is very clean and has a large laundry room (8 washers and 8 dryers - $1.25 to wash and $1.25 for 45 minutes of drying time), gift shop, game room, lending library, and exercise room (age 18 and older in the exercise... What we like about this park is its close proximity to downtown San Antonio. (The Alamo and River Walk are 3-1/2 miles). The city bus picks up across the street from the resort about every half hour to go into downtown and currently costs $1.20 per adult each way. In addition, if you're limited on time, you can take a sightseeing tour of San Antonio. The sightseeing tour company's shuttle will pick you up at the resort. The office staff set up our tour for us. The resort is located amidst the missions that make up the UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Missions National Historical Park. There are three restaurants within 1/2 mile: two Tex-Mex, and Mad Macks Burger Co. Just outside the resort is a wide, paved hike/bike trail along the Museum Reach of the San Antonio River. The bike path goes to the missions, and downtown. If you ride past downtown onto the Museum Reach of the River Walk, you can ride up to the Pearl Brewery District and Brackenridge Park (zoo, Japanese Gardens, trails, Witte Museum). The bike path is open dawn to dusk. Within a 2-4 mile drive from the resort are WalMart, Target, Home Depot, H-E-B Grocery, Lowe's, auto parts stores, and many more restaurants. This resort is convenient to downtown sites and the missions. We stayed here in a 33' 5th wheel.
