Before being completely negative, let me say the staff at this campground were very accommodating and as helpful as they could be given the policies they had to work under. First every one should be aware that they assign camp sites on a first come first serve basis. We were not advised of this when we made our reservation. Yes, even with a paid reservation, it is first come first served. Which meant when we got there, there was not a site large enough to accommodate our 5th wheel. Now, the staff... Read More

First every one should be aware that they assign camp sites on a first come first serve basis. We were not advised of this when we made our reservation. Yes, even with a paid reservation, it is first come first served. Which meant when we got there, there was not a site large enough to accommodate our 5th wheel. Now, the staff bent over backwards to find a spot for us, we ended up using a spot designated for a 25 ft unit and we are 35 ft. This meant we blocked part of the site behind us. While we are thankful they accommodated us we did feel bad using 2 sites that were back to back. (If two smaller units had been placed back to back in there there would have needed to be just a few feet apart.)
The sights side to side are also very close together, they seem to want to pack campers in like sardines. The staff had asked us not to park in the site behind us, thus in order to leave room to get in and out of our unit we had to park our truck so close to our neighbor they came out later and gave it some concerned looks. They were kind and did not complain to us though.
Lastly for the price, they should have free Wi-Fi, we are at a second Thousand Oaks campground now, they also do not have free Wi-Fi. Thousand Oaks are off our lists going forward.
One other redeeming factor, the bathrooms and laundry room were spotless.

Very poor site planning. Sites are very close together and behind you. There is not more than 3 feet between sites and frankly, this is not what camping is about. Staff was nice and helpful, but we had issues with water hookup and the closeness of our neighbors just ruined the stay for us. The park was over priced and no free wifi. You must pay for wifi !!! We have been all over the US and this is the first pay for wifi park we have come to. Not a great park!
Site was muddy (uneven dirt and grass rather than any kind of prepared surface) and smelled like sewage. The site was cramped and we were pinned in tight by other campsites. There was no room for a campfire, which the sign said could only be done with a portable fire pit. There was a ring but it didn't appear to belong anywhere and probably hadn't been used. Our campsite was in what appeared to be a seasonal community but they were not kept up. This campground was not inexpensive but the selling... Read More

This campground was not inexpensive but the selling point for us was that it is in Sturbridge, which was near to an event we were attending and the Old Sturbridge Village attraction.
The staff members were friendly.
We did not rate the restrooms because we did not use them.
