After a long day on the road it was good to stop and be greeted with friendly smiles and helpful staff. After getting set up on our level pull-through site we enjoyed a swim in the "just right" temperature pool! There is a kids area that includes a playground, basketball court, and bouncing pillow. The dog park is a nice size and there are plenty of other grassy areas to walk the dogs. The WiFi is excellent!!! We were here overnight and would stop here again if in the area.
Very new and well kept park. Will definitely come back.
This park was the most beautifully kept park during our coast-coast trip. The parking areas were spacious with nice green grass between the spaces. The water was good and the restrooms always looked as if they had just been scrubbed. The pool was nice looking and stayed open until 10PM. They had a wonderful playground for children and seemed to be very popular as there were many children playing in the area. They had a special area set aside for dogs to play off-leash and provided bags for cleaning after your dog. The area had a bench for humans and enough room to throw a frisbee for the dog. The fence was sufficient height to keep your dog in and the gate had a latch to prevent escapes.
The park may seem off-track, but actually is nice for bypassing Sioux Falls when traveling from I-29 to I-90. The back roads from Yankton to Mitchell are good roads with high speed limits and very little traffic.
We stayed at this park twice and feel that it would be nice to stay a few days for exploring the area.
