The streets were narrow but the sites were roomy. The escort to our site was so competent. It's a great place for families. The park was packed but fun. We would return
Nice pretty close to each other but a nice campground
I recently purchased an RV and started exploring parks in the Southeast and Midwest. I have tried Thousand Trails, KOA and Good Sam parks. Only a handful of places to compare, but this park is BY FAR the best I have experienced. Great, attentive service. Beautiful grounds. Amazing private bath and shower facilities. Very much looking forward to a return visit. .
The campers are so close together that you really don’t have any room and the sites are so short with no place to park your truck but in the road. That makes it hard to get up and down with vehicles and campers. Won’t stay here again.
we really liked the stay there, we were in a pull thru spot by grass area, very quiet, what we liked best is the service at the check in and during our stay, the reps are right on top of everything, take time to answer questions, to us that's customer service ! The bathrooms are private with a toilet and shower !
Not what you'd call "charming." An almost-treeless field, with sites fairly close together. The place seems most popular with folks with big trailers that often fill the back-in gravelly sites, meaning the big pick-ups are often parked half in the thoroughfares. Water pressure is very high, so be careful there. Showers / restrooms are modern and spacious -- though you may have a lengthy walk to get there, depending on your site location. All in all, just a place to park. Best thing about it... Read More

Stayed one night. Lot we were put on (many open) had black tank discharge on gravel. Walked to office to tell them. Office staff seemed to have an "Oh, well" attitude and nothing was done. I scooped up gravel at end of lot to spread over solids and toilet paper so I could hook to my sewer with out stepping in anything. For morning shower, 7:30 AM, before departing, first room had toilet plugged, next room had toilet plugged and next room had no toilet paper. Finally able to use the fourth room I... Read More

Most likely will not stay there again.

We have stayed at Whispering Hills three times and will plan our trips south (or return trips home) with a stop over here in mind. It is a very clean park in a nice setting with a very friendly staff. It is conveniently located off of I-75. I strongly recommend taking the exit south of the park even if coming in from the north. The road from the exit north of the park is winding and very narrow without shoulders. In a big rig, or any camping set-up for that matter, it demands your full attention and pray no one is coming in the opposite lane. Coming in from the south exit is smooth sailing. However, back to the park. The park roads are wide and offer plenty of room for our 45' coach with a towed vehicle to navigate. The premium pull through sites are great, and the WiFi has always worked for us. The pool is conveniently located near the premium sites and was very clean. I cannot comment on the restrooms as we have not used them. In short it is a clean, friendly, and pleasant place to stay.

We have stayed at Whispering Hills about a dozen times with our vintage Airstream while traveling back and forth from Michigan to Florida. Each time we were warmly greeted and guided to a great spot near their spotless bathhouse. And after a quiet night we continued on our journey, refreshed and alert.
Very clean park. Outstanding restroom facilities. Very nice people. Good price. We will stop again
Great campground, nice and clean. We did not use restrooms. We have a 40 foot goose-neck car hauler with living area. The dust from the limestone prevented me from taking out the vehicle we were hauling, because it is Black. The single lane road coming to the campground is a little nerve racking. Would not like meet on coming traffic there.
Very Nice Campground. Staff was very friendly park was super clean. Only negative I could give it was the main road you turn on to get to the park is narrow so be careful on the main road to the RV Park. I would love to come spend some time there. The campground guys that guide you to your site are super friendly. He even helped guide with backing in. Awesome place
A Nice RV Park for the most part! There appears to be ALLOT of Full Timers staying here. But, the RV Sites are reasonably large, so you don't feel like you're in a SARDINE CAN! Can't hear or smell your neighbors is also a plus. The biggest drawback is the location of the park. ONE WAY IN AND ONE WAY OUT! Roads are very narrow getting here, especially the Road to the Park, very Hilly and Narrow and Cars fly down this road, you have to go slow and be prepared to STOP for the people flying down... They have good WIFI! Water pressure is high, so you will need a Pressure Regulator!
Really a pretty good stay and not a bad park.

Great Park with wide open spaces! I work while full timing and need Wifi... Whispering Hills RV park had the great wifi, I did see a slight slow down at busier times but overall works great! which was surprising for it's location but it's true! I even had great 5G. The staff are helpful and friendly! this is a remember to stop by again type of Park!

Nice, large campground with pool, playground, lake, pavilion, basketball court, 2 small laundry/bathhouses. Pretty good WiFi, good amount of space between most sites which have plastic table and fire ring. ice and limited supplies in office. Escort to sites which were fairly level gravel. Provided jack pads if needed. Cons : NO cable, dusty interior roads, limited number of bath houses for the number of sites, some road noise from interstate and train whistles. Have to sign paper that you will not put rugs or vehicles on grass - had read other reviews about this, but basically they want you to respect their property. We were in site 21 backed to deep ravine . There were some trees behind the site which were nice. Most of the park is clear of trees. Those that back to lake have a nice view.
Tips: Creation Museum is about 1 hour north and Ark Encounter about 30 minutes north, both are well worth the visit - plan at least one full day at each. Toyota Factory tour in Georgetown is very interesting, and the Kentucky Horse Park is well worth a visit if you are interested in horses (another full day tour). Only visited one of many distilleries in the area. Lexington has some interesting history around the area, but that will have to wait for another trip. There is shopping and restaurants convenient to the RV Park right off the interstate a few miles from park. There is a small Camping World store too.

These folks are great, & campground is super. Stayed overnight on way from Mi. to Bristol TN. & then from Bristol on way to WI. Very helpful, even brought ice to campsite via golf cart because I walked up to office and was told it's to hot for me to carry back. If you get chance to stay here, do it. Many Thanks. Ronald N.
First year with new ownership. They did a fabulous job as restructuring what needed to be. However, the younger generation (mid 20's) of employees, need to be taught to take their job serious. They are a little lackadaisical on the task they have been assigned. Otherwise we keep coming back due to location, office employees, facilities and amenities. And will return again.
We LOVE this campground. This made our third time at this campground and we just keep going back. They offer so many amenities and for a great price. They offer full hook-ups, swimming pool, community camp ring, and private bathrooms in the shower houses. Our two year old loves this campground too, from watching the ducks on the pond, to the playground area with the blow-ups. See you again real soon!!!
This park had it all. They have a large playground for kid, 4 different bouncy house things and a nice swimming pool. Also had a lake that kids could fish in. The sites on the row we were in are not level front to back. My stabilizers on the back of my camper would not touch the ground and my trailer tongue was on the ground almost. I had to go to the office and buy a couple sets of ten. They are way over priced on all accessories. $12 more than Camping World, $22 more than Walmart in... Read More

I had to go to the office and buy a couple sets of ten. They are way over priced on all accessories. $12 more than Camping World, $22 more than Walmart in Georgetown for the exact same leveling blocks. This not being level also made it where the sewer drain lines had to go up hill from back gray water tank and it was a hassle. Need to extend the sites out and level them up a good bit. If they fix these few things this place would be exceptional.

This was the first RV park my wife and I have stayed in it was a wonderful experience overall easy and easy out. Upon arrival they were extremely friendly and then after I was finished with the front desk they escorted me to my spot. Once they had done that the individual told me that they had city water and the pressure would be too much for my RV. He offered to lend me a restrictor for the hose or he could sell me one. I would recommend this RV park for anybody who is passing through the area. Plus there's lots to do in the area if you have time to spend. My wife and I have been in this area many times before on vacation and I used to come for business. So if you haven't, take time to explore the area we were in a bit of a hurry so we couldn't stay any longer.

We stayed 3 nights while in the area. Park seems new. The road on your approach to the park as extremely narrow and passing another vehicle was an white knuckle experience. This narrow road is short but really needs to be widened for safety. Check in was super efficient and the staff was great during our entire stay. Our site was a pull thru right across from the pool with plenty of length to park the toad. We were directed to our site and the person stayed until they were sure everything worked.... Read More

Pool was very nice and was well used because of the heat but not too loud even though we were only feet away. Entire park was gravel and the area was suffering from a lack of rain during our visit so was very, very dusty with vehicles driving by. Our site was fairly level but some others had RV's on various blocks, some too high for my comfort, to get level. Large park and we enjoyed walking the roads inside. Rest rooms and laundry was clean and laundry reasonably priced. Park was very convenient to all of the area attractions 30 minutes to the Ark Encounter, Wild Turkey and Woodford Reserve Distillery's. Many other attractions near Lexington were also convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we were in the area.

Beautiful park, very well maintained - roads were gravel but no potholes. From I-75, you take US25 north, then turn right onto SR670 - this road is very narrow - no lines - hope you don't meet another RV coming the other way - it's not a long way, though. Wifi was mostly non-existent. We were in a back-in site near the pond. Parking for the tow vehicle is parallel to the road rather than as part of the site. So, when all the sites were occupied, it was hard to get down the road. They did tell us that they were going to make all these sites at an angle over this coming winter when they are closed. This will be a huge improvement. Hopefully, they'll make them longer too, so your vehicle will fit within the site inline with your RV.

Whispering Hills is an excellent stopover campground. It is near I-75. It is clean with excellent customer service. The campground is quiet. The sites are level. The only drawback is the sites are gravel. However they are spaced far enough apart to allow for private time. Highly recommend this campground.
The staff here was very friendly and helpful. We stayed 4 nights in a travel trailer. The site we stayed in was not so level but nothing we couldn't fix with a few leveling blocks. The park was clean and well maintained. WIFI of course did not work as with most RV parks. Did not use the pool or bath house.
Stayed 4 nights. Friendly and helpful staff. Lake lot was beautiful. They have the most amazing bath I have ever seen they provide ( Shower, toilet, and sink ) all in a individual room. Facilities where super clean. Would stay here again if I ever get the chance.
We stopped here for just one night on the way to TN & it worked out great. The place was quiet & had all the amenities we needed. We didn't use the restrooms so I can't say how they were but the staff was friendly & very helpful when we requested a late check out for a reasonable fee. If we're in the area again, we'd stop here for a longer stay.

Biggest down side was the WIFI... slowest I've experienced on our 30 day trip around the country. I could occasionally download some e-mail, but could not click on a link because it would stop cold. We also had a problem with neighbors on both sides building camp fires in the evening. I'm sure they enjoyed it, but the wind off the lake was blowing smoke into our RV. We talked about moving to a Wal-Mart.

Staff were Fabulous. Did not know KY got so cold(10) They have propane to refill tanks. They took you to your sights, lots of room. Bathrooms were nicest I have used (we were still winterize) your own toilet, shower, sink in separate Big rooms. They had Big showers, hooks where you need them, shelfs at sink to put your stuff on, good hot water heated rooms. There is a Pilot Gas Station right at the exit. I will used them again for sure. We stayed 4 nights and the only fault, to us, is campfires. but that's our drothers. Wood fires stink!!! So we just close up. But this campground has a great staff and nice sites.
Very nice people at this relatively new campground. Setting is ok, but nothing spectacular. There is a pool but too late in season for us. Full hookup was about $37. It is gravelly, but didn't bother us; we were there just one night. Restrooms were very clean and new; several individual showers and toilets with locking doors.
We loved the place. The Bathrooms were private with doors. The Pool was big. The people were so helpful.
We had a beautiful lake front premium camp site with full hookups. The staff welcomed us and helped us to park our RV. Hookups worked well and were convenient. Kids loved the pool. Clean shower house and spacious private shower rooms. Short drive to the Interstate, and great place to stay visiting Noah's Ark Encounter.
Stayed here overnight. Friendly people and escort service to site. Gravel sites and roads. Quiet, nice lake, activities for kids. Pool looked good. Wifi was nonexistent. Convenient to area attractions and interstate. Would go back and stay longer.
Our 4th visit to this campground in the past 3 years. Friendly staff, quiet location, Pilot station at I-75 exit adds convenience. Must say though that the advertised Wi-Fi is unfortunate as they have 1 transponder and I can't even get on it when sitting on their front porch. Have done a lot of landscaping that's nice but I'd prefer Wi-Fi service for my money rather than investing in their entry landscaping.
We made an overnight stop on our way up north, This place was more than we expected. We had a premium site. Only downsides...... No tv reception without satellite and no fire ring. But if you have kids they will love it. Inflateble slide, playground, swimming, etc. Very clean. Welcoming hosts. Would definitely recommend.
Park is rather plain but it is clean. Little disappointed with the site we had due to it being almost 6" out of level from side to side. All the sites were gravel and most appeared to be more level than ours. We almost didn't have enough stuff to get it level. The staff was friendly and helpful. Not sure we would stay again.
There are no shade trees. Because of the position of our campsite, our awning provided no shade. We had to move the picnic table to the front of our RV to get shade. This would have been fine, except for the gravel road. Each time a vehicle passed our campsite, we were immersed in dust. Their WiFi is unacceptably slow and is not password protected. Our PC picked up malware on their website. I would not stay her again.
Very nice and clean showers. Beautiful park! Very friendly. Close to the "Ark Encounter". A must stay park!
This as a great place to overnight- got a pull-through, did make an advance reservation. The place looks fairly new, gravel roads with good level sites, full hookups, beautiful location. There is no shade as yet, but this time of year that doesn't matter. One of the nicest bath houses I've used, individual rooms. Can't say enough good things about this campground.
Had a great stay here. Great park, nicely laid out, friendly folks. Will definitely stay there again if we are in the area. You will need to ensure you have a working water pressure regulator because their house water pressure is on the order of 70 psi.
We stayed for one night as we were in transit to Michigan. Called late in the afternoon to get a reservation for the night. The woman on the phone was very helpful and polite, giving clear instructions on how to get there and what to do if we arrived after the office closed. The pool was very clean (closes at 8, later would have been nice since it was still daylight until after 9) and is maintained daily. The bathrooms. Wow, the bathrooms. Going into the bathhouse you are in a hallway with 10 doors to private family style bathrooms. Each bathroom has toilet, sink and shower. Each was very clean. The ONLY suggestion we could make would be to have a double shower in a couple. This would make it easier when with a youngster old enough to want to 'shower by himself' so could shower at same time as the supervising adult with in same room. Great water pressure (you will need a regulator). The site we were on was all gravel, no grass at all although other sites did have grass. I suspect our site is in an area for "overnighters" to pull in for a night. Close to the front and pull through site, and the gravel keeps the cleanup to a minimum. Will definitely stay there again when in transit through the area.

Very Happy with this RV Park. We stopped without reservations. We were greeted with a smile and escorted to our site. Only stayed 1 night but very happy with the pull thru site so that I did not have to disconnect my tow. Very quiet night. Did not use any park amenities but very please with the experience.
Staff was super nice, campground was clean and quiet, beautiful setting. Staff escorted us to our site, answered our questions, made us feel right at home. Level pull-through, easy hook-ups, pet-friendly. Only an overnight stay, can't comment on the amenities, so that's why I'm only giving 4 stars. Would definitely stay here again.
If your handicap watch out here. It's not very safe for children either!! Very dangerous place, large boulders of blacktop strewed throughout. They were also very rude accommodating me due to my injuries! Very dissatisfied with this place and its owners!!

We stayed there from April thru August. Wi-fi is very limited if operational at all. We nick named this place the "gravel pit" because that is what it is. It is noisey during the day as they are always working the grating the gravel. The long term areas are crowded... our car was hit. We were charged as much for electricity for 10 days that we were there in August as much as we were charged for the entire month of July. We would not recommend staying here.
If I could give them 10 stars for shower facility I would. I saw someone in there at least twice a day making sure they were clean. Several pull thru spots on the outside row, which is all gravel and there were overnighters using the ones near us. We had a grass yard with fire ring and plastic picnic table along with our very level gravel parking space with enough room to park our Jeep Liberty at the front of our Motorhome. Office gals very helpful in suggesting things to do on our free day. Very nice selection of area literature in the office.

The campers are so close together that you really don’t have any room and the sites are so short with no place to park your truck but in the road. That makes it hard to get up and down with vehicles and campers. Won’t stay here again.
