I'm only commenting on appeal, ease of use due to the following. I made a reservation, but you can't reserve type of site, it is 1st come 1st serve. That should have been a flag. got there about 5pm. Entry gate guy was really nice. This place is packed, tight spaces, sand/dirt pads, with not much room and the sewer hookup was almost in the middle of the few available spaces I found. Back in sites are tight. I am no snob, but I was put off enough to just leave and find another place for the... Read More

That said, I gave bathrooms/facility a 2 because I had to rate them.

The first thing to know about this place is that there are 2 distinct RV sections. 30 amp pull-through sites are located to the left and 30/50 amp back-in sites are to the right. We chose the latter as it was 95 degrees outside and we wanted to be able to run our 2 A/C units simultaneously. There is no extra charge to use the 50 amp section. Site #288 was relatively level and quite spacious. Sites on this side are sandy so it has somewhat of a beach feel. Winds can be super strong so be careful... Read More

Restroom C was clean and well maintained. Loved the white recycling bins. We interacted with multiple staff members throughout the park and everyone was great. Pool was open but guests have to register for a 1 hour timeslot. Recreation lodge was open from 8:00am to 3:00pm and it even includes a small library. Very cool! We were able to program 50+ over the air TV channels including all of the major networks. My AT&T phone had 2 bars and the hotspot worked ok. Paid wifi is available but the signal is pitifully weak. Park is close to groceries and many other shopping/restaurant options. Joshua Tree National Park is about 45 minutes away. TIP: if you have an RV + tow vehicle then gas up at the Flying J located at 72235 Varner Rd about 6 miles away. There is a long RV friendly lane with unleaded gas on the left side of the tractor trailer fueling area. Pump # 13. Easy to negotiate if you can't back up. The Flying J app doesn't say that there are RV fuel lanes at this location so we were pleasantly surprised to find one.

Hands down, the billiard room is fantastic, albeit a bit cramped. Be warned, there is a monthly tourney that comes through here, and when it does the place is packed. All spaces are FHU, with most being pull through. Various amounts of shade thanks to the Palm trees...and very narrow sites, also thanks to the Palm trees. Laundry rooms are OK, clean and bright, and a third party runs them so don't expect a refund if a machine breaks down on you. The pool and hot tub are very nice, simply really... Read More

The pool and hot tub are very nice, simply really small, and the "Adult" activities take over the pool about a third of the day. They will happily start earlier than their scheduled time, and keep going after unless people stand around and wait. If you have children who want to use the pool, the 'Birds will run them off during the "Adult" times, even if the kids are politely waiting in the chairs off to the side. Don't fall for it, anyone can sit in the chairs when the pool is open regardless. We complained to the Activities Director about this, and the lack of Family time in the pool. She didn't want to address the issue until one of the seniors spoke up and verified our claims, then all we got was, "I'll look into it."
Lots of senior activities and they do feel they own the park. The clubhouse is really small, with very little to do unless you bring it yourself. Seniors love this place, as they can lease annual sites and basically stay the whole open season without having to move. (park is closed in summer, claiming it is too hot) Not geared for families or anyone under 60 in any way. Seniors tried to scare and belittle my nephew every chance they got.
Close to shopping and the freeway, pizza will deliver, and we never had any power issues in this park.
