I'm not sure what RV park Good Sam was rating. Roads were all gravel, not sure what was renovated, I-75 noise was annoying. Okay for a one-night stay but no amenities that we could find. It was inexpensive, which we appreciated. I like a lot of the information that Good Sam provides, but their ratings for Good Sam Parks are useless. Subtract at least 2 points from each rating and you'll be closer to reality.

convenient from I-75 which brings traffic noise too, we camped near the back and ran the a/c so it wasn't an issue. there is a railroad line parallel to the county road to the park but we never heard a train during our 2 day stay. it's a very serene setting with lush grass and many large pecan trees, horses graze in nearby pasture and we saw ducks, squirrels, rabbits and a young fawn within the park. roads are described as paved on the website, not so, dirt roads with widely dispersed gravel make... For the price (I paid $20/night for 30A and water), this is a good value for a campground, especially if you are just looking for a safe and convenient place to stay for the night. It appears this may have been a pecan orchard in the past and there are a number of trees to provide some shade, in season. I had a level grass site near the bathhouse. There are no fire rings and very few picnic tables here but the area was clean. Expect a fair amount of road noise and an occasional train passing... Read More

There are no fire rings and very few picnic tables here but the area was clean. Expect a fair amount of road noise and an occasional train passing by, but didn't really bother me with windows closed and a fan running. The bathhouse was adequate with plenty of hot water and a couple of sinks. Could use some repair work on some tile and the outdoor light above the entrance had been removed which would be very nice to have at night. The trash in the bathhouse was not emptied over the two weekend nights I was there. I saw a few people in the swimming pool, but did not give it a close inspection. The check-in staff person I encountered was friendly and courteous.

Terrible campground right next to I75 noise unbelievable. Facility "newly renovated" what a joke. Woman in office extremely unfriendly tried to charge me an extra $10 if I used my credit card to pay for a $40 night charge. When I went back to office to inquire about cable (none) very snippy told me my dog was not allowed in office. Then put up a sign saying so. Last time we ever stop here!!!!

This is an easy park to stop for the night. Yes there is the interstate and a train, but I put in my earplugs and turn on the AC and sleep like a baby.

If you are looking for a overnight stay - this may work for you, but you'd most likely prefer the Cracker Barrel south of this location. Even for ROD standards this place is terrible, terrible. The only pro was the nice lady in the office - after that - total disappointment. If you are in the 50 AMP area do not expect a full nights sleep. Between the road noise and the trains 100' away almost every hour - you will not find piece and quiet here. Site was dirt and services are shared - Electric... Read More

Sewer - now that is a real scavenger hunt to find which one is yours.

1. This "Resort" is only a glorified RV Park. We could not find a pool, and nightly bingo is the only "group" activities we were invited to. 2. All "Big Rig RVs" (50-amp hookups), are along the front of the property, AND they charge an additional $2 per night, that is "suppose to cover cable TV", BUT you have to pay it even at the Sites that don't have hookups for it! 3. Because you are along the FRONT, well, guess what, There are Railroad Tracks with NIGHTLY Trains, and, oh yes, IH-75 is right... Read More

Because you are along the FRONT, well, guess what, There are Railroad Tracks with NIGHTLY Trains, and, oh yes, IH-75 is right on the other side of the Tracks, and this means CONSTANT 24/7 noisy TRAFFIC. 4. To get to this "Resort", you have to go across the BUMPY railroad tracks, when they are open, or wait on the trains, or go about 2 miles out of the way, to the next crossing, (when they are repairing the main crossing)! 5. Overall, the people are nice, and this park has a lot of "monthly" rentals, that, of course have sites in the back areas, away from Traffic and Trains. 6. SO, in our opinion, you might want to look elsewhere, or use this park as an overnight stop!
