We have been coming here off and on for years. Rolled in and noticed all the permament spots were vacated. Quickly learned the reason was the new manegement was running the place like a concentration camp. Lights out at 8pm NO TALKING allowed so we retreated inside my camper. few minutes later a knock. NO TALKING even inside my own camper WOW. The children were called down for walking because the leaves made noise. My last visit to this place for sure , we often overlooked the cruddy condition of... Read More

We stayed here 4 nights over the labor day week-end. Roads to some sites were in bad shape and need some work. Bathrooms and some buildings on property outdated. Lake on site and Pool was clean. A lot of "Permanent People" there!! I understand the owners were fairly new and have some work to do so I'm in no way bashing them!!! Just reviews things the way I saw them!! We stayed in pull thru site in Travel Trailer.

We just got back today from Norwood, we stayed at site 37. The ground was so unlevel as well as rocky. There are not an ideal amount of activities to do, unless you have a boat or some kind of water device. The kayaks were outrageously priced. The staff were oh so friendly as well as kind, and that was about the only good thing during this trip, but however the bathrooms were disgusting. Cob webs in corners for the 4 days that we occupied the site, as well as dead bugs on the sink and floor for... Read More

Cob webs in corners for the 4 days that we occupied the site, as well as dead bugs on the sink and floor for days. Nobody came to clean the restrooms from the time we got there (Friday) until today as we left. (Monday) My young brother twisted his ankle due to falling down the rocks. The pool is even chipping and needs some updating. Some shingles are coming off of the roof of the office. The place needs to be badly updated!!!! We will not be returning to this place.

We decided to stay at this campground even though some of the reviews weren't very good. We had a very good experience. The owners were very helpful and even helped us get setup in our campground. There was a storm coming when we arrived and they wanted to ensure everyone got I and setup before it came through. The campground is in the woods and great for boating and fishing. We are more beach people but would go back to Norwood if it is on the way to a destination. They also had some activities... Read More

Amazing campground with lots of things to do. Staff was so kind, the facility was clean. Camp ground was directly across from lake access and it was absolutely beautiful. We will for sure plan to stay at the campground again.

Very unpleasant experience. Owners were new in this business, and did not seem to have the slightest idea about what RVing & camping was all about. The group that I was with were told about 8:30 that we could no longer socialize around the camp fire, and we would all have to disperse and go to our respective campsites. We were told that we could not even congregate inside some ones camper. Worst campground I have been to in years.

Please understand that we have stayed at campgrounds all over this great country and have never experienced this sort of strange understanding of the camping experience by any campground staff. The whole premise of camping is to get together with family and friends under the stars around a campfire. We were basically told to disperse and go to our individual campsites. the reason given was our talking, (which was not loud at all), might bother others, although they stated that they had no complaints.... The whole premise of camping is to get together with family and friends under the stars around a campfire. We were basically told to disperse and go to our individual campsites. the reason given was our talking, (which was not loud at all), might bother others, although they stated that they had no complaints. They stated that our low playing music, (country, Merle Haggard, Alabama, Johnny Cash, etc. ) was repulsive to the staff and possibly other campers that may overhear it if they walked past. We were even threatened by a call to the police if we did not comply! The campground atmosphere and surrounding area could have been enjoyable had it not been for the staff and their strange prejudice towards our group. It was my understanding they are new owners, so maybe they will "Get it", one day. The bath houses could use a lot of work also. Don't wear dry shoes into them. The staff should send someone into them each morning early to remove insects from the sinks. Hard to brush your teeth when looking at sink full of insects. Good luck to the staff.

We didn't use any of the facilities.. We were staying while visiting friends. Very friendly, had the guys help to get the 5thwheel placed on the lot. We are here mid Nov thru Thanksgiving, so they are empty but for a few others. The setting is beautiful, we will return when we come back this way.

Our stay was over Labor day weekend. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The evening we checked in, it was pouring rain and the gentleman who showed us to our site was extremely patient helping us maneuver into our spot. The sites were very spacious and shaded. Although we didn't go to the pool or attend any of the activities, they had many family friendly activities planned for the holiday weekend. The campground did have a fairly good wifi signal and had cable hook-ups. The only negative about our stay was that our site appeared to be on the "main drag" for golf carts. And I was amazed at the amount of golf cart traffic. If we ever go back, I will ask for a spot off of the main road.

We really liked this place. It has beautiful rustic charm. If you are looking for a place in the woods you will enjoy this spot. It reminds me of the summer camp I use to go to in high school. I am not sure why the other review was so poor but here is what we experienced. The bathhouse was clean, the pool was very clean, and so were the surrounding grounds. For those who want to go lake swimming than you will have a short drive. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. Our stay was peaceful, everyone who worked there took great care of us. Yes, there are people who appear to be staying there long term but they did just fine making their areas look presentable. We have stayed in many RV camping areas and this place had the most charm and some of the sweetest people we ever met running an RV site. We would not hesitate to come back.

This was the worst campground we have ever been too. I can't believe they are Good Sam's. The roads were rutted and very deteriorated. The bathhouses were scary. Not clean at all. Spiders everywhere. Better bath houses at the state parks. Poorly lit campground. Mostly permanent campers who took little pride in the campsite. The pool was green, we did not even go in. There was trash surrounding the campground in the woods, dump piles. I would not recommend to anyone. We left early and... Read More
