The facilities were nice. The campsites were very treed and spacious right on the river. Close to Harper's Ferry area. They did have internet access. The bathrooms were clean and had very spacious shower areas, great for a mom trying to shower a bunch of kids. The road into the park shares a bike trail between the river and the railroad track. This was a little confusing, a sign showing Brunswick Family Campground, this way, would have helped a lot. We got to the park a little too early... Read More
The facilities were nice. The campsites were very treed and spacious right on the river. Close to Harper's Ferry area. They did have internet access. The bathrooms were clean and had very spacious shower areas, great for a mom trying to shower a bunch of kids. The road into the park shares a bike trail between the river and the railroad track. This was a little confusing, a sign showing Brunswick Family Campground, this way, would have helped a lot. We got to the park a little too early at 12:45 pm for a 2 pm check in. We were in an RV. We were told we would have to park and wait or pay an early check in fee of $25. I was very unhappy about this extra fee. Apparently check in is a hard fast 2PM and check out 11am. I found this campground on Good Sam and had called them directly so this was very unexpected to be charged an extra fee. The owner came and found us and another unhappy RV'er and waived the extra fee and let us check in. I retired from Sales and Marketing. I really did appreciate the gesture by the owner and did enjoy my stay but I do question the bad will versus revenue that this extra early check in fee creates.
