Simply fabulous. Quaint little full hook up RV park VERY close to Pilot Mountain St Park, just south of the NC / VA state line. Close access to cities of Pilot Mtn and Mt Airy and others. FABULOUS unobstructed views of Pilot Mtn from each site. Sites are in the open and close together but the views more than make up for that. Modern place that is VERY clean and fairy priced. Owners are just great folks - said to "stay tuned" because more was coming including additional sites and some likely... Read More

We stayed at Greystone on recommendation from friends. The grounds and bath house are well kept but the "park" is really just 10 concrete pad sites in a row on a hilltop. No trees or shade. Not a good place for kids as there is nothing to do. Beautiful view of Pilot Mountain. 1 shower for men and 1 for women. Bath house and bathrooms close from 10pm to about 7am ( both days we were there is was 7:15am until someone came to unlock) so apparently they only want large RV's at their park. We did see... We did see this on their information sheet but thought surely they don't lock the bathrooms, but they do! Are you kidding me? Thank goodness we found a very small gas station about 3 miles away that was open 24 hours. The first night we got there around 7pm, got set up, had dinner and wanted to shower before going to bed but exactly at 10pm, the owner came to lock up. No shower for us! We have a small travel trailer so unfortunately we will not be returning. If you do not have a bathroom in your travel trailer or RV, I would definitely not recommend going here.

Chose this park based on the views of Pilot Mountain and we weren't disappointed. Fabulous views out the windshield of our MH. Very small 10 site park with all concrete pads. Good space between units. Electric, water and sewer all worked well. No cable but we had good OTA TV reception for local news and weather. We visited Mt. Airy and did all of the Mayberry attractions which were within 25 minutes. The state park at Pilot Mountain provided great views and several hikes depending on your... Read More

We had soaking rain and thunderstorms both days were here but everything drained well and there was minimal standing water. We did not use the restrooms or showers but they have key card access for guests. Overall a nice, clean small park with fantastic views and close to the attractions of Mayberry and the state parks. We will visit again.

1st time camping at Greystone, have to say I was pleased. Beautiful view of Pilot mountain. They do not have some of the bells and whistles of other campgrounds, but if your looking for a nice campground that is close to area attractions this place fits the bill. The restrooms are immaculate, however there is only 1 shower for men, and one for women, but this was not a problem with some scheduling showers with those in our party ( we were camping with 6 adults and 7 kids). This is a smaller campground... Read More

This is a smaller campground (10 sites) but don't let that be a reason not to stay here. The owners are super nice and are considering expanding the campground. They have a small stocked fish pond where my son and I caught bass and brim. Pilot mountain state park is less than 2 miles away, a must visit. Mayberry/Mount Airy is approx. 25 mins away and makes for a fun day trip. All in all, if you don't require a bunch of "extra" stuff this place is great. Definitely will be back again.
NOTE if you have a big rig, swing wide when entering the campground, they have some stone columns that could be problematic if you're not on your A game.
