This is a one-night stop-over in my Class A motorhome (California to New York). It is just what I need to do a quick set up, get a good's night sleep, and head out again tomorrow. It's close to the freeway, but that's not a problem for me. It's under new management and at check-in I had a nice chat with the new owner wife. They took over in April, I believe she said. Check-in was very efficient. It looks like the bathrooms are new. I would stay here again for a stop-over, no question. It's kind... Read More

The only thing that threw me was that the dump was several feet away from the electricity and water. I'm used to them being together so parked accordingly. My fault for not scoping it out first lesson learned. I didn't have a hose long enough (and I carry two sizes), so just skipped that part of set up I'm just too tired. I'll wait until my next stop for that chore. Overall, I'm happy with what I got.

This was a one night stand in our 30’ travel trailer. Easy in and out. Very clean but expensive at $48.

This was an overnight while on the road stay for us. Easy to get into and out of and easy to find. All very important. Traffic noise was minimal even though you are close to the interstate. No train noise even though you can see the train. Would recommend for overnight.

The Travel Camp is a breath of fresh air. We were allowed to drive through the campground before making our reservation & pick the site we wanted. There are 19 pull thru sites for campers & RVs & 14 tent sites. The pull thru sites are all paved and level. We found the sites to be plenty wide. Even with all the slides out on every camper there was room to walk between the sites. Each site has a picnic table & a small tree or shrub. Some of the trees are large enough to provide a bit of shade.... Read More

Even with all the slides out on every camper there was room to walk between the sites. Each site has a picnic table & a small tree or shrub. Some of the trees are large enough to provide a bit of shade. No obstructions for satellite dishes. There is a shared trash barrel for every 2 sites, as well as a dumpster by the dog run. The dog run appeared to be a little small & not all campers would clean up after their dogs. There is a small daily fee for dogs. Cats camp free! There is an ADA compliant site in front of the restrooms and 2 other sites in close proximity. The restroom/shower building is new. Both the women & men have 2 showers & 2 toilets. Very clean. It was quite warm during the day (temps in the high 90s, low 100s). The electricity went out a couple of times, but was back on within the hour. WiFi was mostly reliable. One evening I kept losing the connection, but I lose it at home, too, so the loss at the campground was nothing new. Verizon has a good signal. No issues with phones during our stay. Extremely easy access to I-80. Use Exit 85. Exit 89 also works. The campground is in between these exits. There is a Love's truck stop at Exit 85. Not sure why people complain about traffic noise from the Interstate. What do they expect - I-80 is just across the road! There is also a train track about a mile away so you hear the trains, too. For us the interstate & train noise was not a problem. Access to the start of Flaming Gorge Reservoir on the west side is just down the road. You don't actually see the Reservoir for several miles but the scenery is beautiful. Exit 89 is also one entry to the Pilot Butte Wild Horse Scenic Route. There is a grocery store about 6 miles away (Smith's - part of the Kroger chain). We were in Section E of the campground. There are a couple of other sections but they appeared to be more for storage. We didn't visit them. I would not hesitate to recommend this campground and we will definitely stay here again when we are out this way. Oh, the staff was very accommodating & friendly. There is no swimming pool but for us that was not an issue. As for wind - you are in Wyoming.........no more needs to be said!

We got caught in high winds and had to pull off the road about 100 miles short of our destination. After some searching we found this place. It was great for what we needed which was an overnight stay. The store was well stocked and the woman working the office was friendly and helpful. We stayed on the upper loop where they have recently finished installing a new rest/shower building which was sparkly clean. The sites were all pull through and level. I'm glad I didn't go by the ratings it had. They look to be putting in everything new. Nice pull in sites. New bathroom. It's a small park but very nice. They had a 70 mph storm and snow about 3 days before we arrived. They had trees damaged and fencing down. We were here on 9/12/20.

All hookups were good. The person at the front desk was friendly. That's about all this place has going for it. The bathrooms were disgusting. One of the shower curtains was tied on in the women's restroom, the other dirty, and one stall didn't have a lock. In the men's restroom, two of the toilets were plugged up and one shower stall inoperative. Didn't feel comfortable sleeping with the windows open. The place isn't very aesthetically pleasing. My mistake I didn't look at other sources for reviews as well. I suggest spending a few bucks more for a nicer place.

The website portrays a beautiful site that has easy access to Flaming Gorge, not true, the Gorge is actually about an hour away to access! We were greeted by an adult woman and teenager who really didn't care if we were there or not, no friendly greeting, no smile, not even a "have a nice stay". The check-in office/store was dirty, supplies were strewn across the floor, the woman was stepping over food items to answer the phone, it was disorganized, they first asked if we were there for the rodeo... We were greeted by an adult woman and teenager who really didn't care if we were there or not, no friendly greeting, no smile, not even a "have a nice stay". The check-in office/store was dirty, supplies were strewn across the floor, the woman was stepping over food items to answer the phone, it was disorganized, they first asked if we were there for the rodeo event, which we were not, just to camp and enjoy Flaming Gorge. I then asked for information on the rodeo and the response was they did not have any information. Our campsite was minimal compared to the ad, no pick-nick table, no grill, tree with broken limbs hanging, the dog walk area had trash and items strew about, no grass, broken gate and broken fence. Within an hour the power went out for this section, and took over an hour to get a response to flip the main breaker when it was 98 degrees in the shade, last the campground is right next to I-80, traffic noise at all times of the day and night. This was not the camping experience we expected based on the website. We checked out and drove to Manila which is within 15 minutes of Flaming Gorge.

We stayed in "Section E" of the park. It was paved and neat and the restrooms were very clean. However, there was no WIFI as promised. Another area of the park looks older and cramped. We called to make a reservation and they replied that no reservation was necessary and that we should just call them on the phone when we arrived. When we did arrive the park office was closed, so we called their telephone number six times with no one answering. We left the park owners several messages. Section... Read More

We called to make a reservation and they replied that no reservation was necessary and that we should just call them on the phone when we arrived. When we did arrive the park office was closed, so we called their telephone number six times with no one answering. We left the park owners several messages. Section E was only 10% full so, based on the earlier conversation, we pulled into a site. We figured we would pay in the morning on our way out of the park. Unfortunately, a park representative went from RV to RV at 7:30 a.m. collecting payment. We had experienced a long day of travel the prior day so we weren't up yet. We thought that knocking on RV doors at 7:30 was a bit early and told the park rep that. Surprisingly, she replied that everyone typically leaves the park around 7:30 a.m. We and other RVs departed the park around 10:30. The park office was closed as it was the prior day. This experience suggested to us that the owners had other things to do rather than run an RV park. Be prepared for no customer service. As we pulled away from the park, we noticed a "for sale" sign underneath their marquis.

As advertised items that are not true: No escort to site, no wifi, no cable. Dirt sites. Long walk to fenced dog run which was too small for any dog. Dead bushes and my dogs got splinters and stickers in their paws. No night lighting at all, used flashlights. No, won't stay there again.

Very nice clean wide spots. Registering was quick and friendly. This camp has nice little walk right down to the river. We decided to stay coming and going since we knew we found a good park.

Pros: friendly, helpful concerned staff. Level, good width paved pull-throughs, good Wi-Fi, great cable TV, very clean, warm bathrooms with hot water. Fenced dog run. Cons: No night lighting, some highway noise and wind can really gust but all tolerable. Rate was with Good Sam discount We camped at The Travel Camp in a Motorhome.
