Dirty and unkept. This place looked like nothing had been cleaned, swept or mowed for two weeks or more. Bugs, water, and dirt all over bathroom floor no toilet paper or paper towels in dispensary. Cement pads but covered with red dirt as were the metal site tables. Faded paper site map difficult to read, faded arrows on pavement made it difficult to tell entrances and exits. Charged $43 with GS discount, but charged an extra $20 for use of pool in water park. Definitely not worth this price. Sweet... Read More

Wish owners/staff took more pride in maintaining this facility which looked as if one time might have been very nice.

I completely agree with John Stephens review!!! EVERYTHING he mentioned is TRUE, plus the first site that we were able to pull into has 1 volt on one leg of the 50 amp service, thankfully we hadn't even started to set up before checking the box. We were hoping to use this as our first stop from NM for all our trips, but there is NO WAY we would ever stay here again. This place is a total dump, weird layouts of the sites and like I mentioned, the review by John Stephens sums it up quite nicely.... Read More

Out of over a dozen rv parks we have stayed at during our 90 day cross country journey, this is undoubtedly the worst in terms of facility and lack of trained personnel. The check-in is at the water park, which is manned by young girls of high school age that know nothing about the RV park and really don't want to bother with it. I was told to pick a spot and call them to inform where we were. This is the first time I have ever seen this. I asked if there were big rig spots with pull thru and was... Read More

The check-in is at the water park, which is manned by young girls of high school age that know nothing about the RV park and really don't want to bother with it. I was told to pick a spot and call them to inform where we were. This is the first time I have ever seen this. I asked if there were big rig spots with pull thru and was told that all their sites were big rig friendly and all were pull-thru. I was not informed about the cable box that must be rented with a $100 deposit, found out when I asked what was wrong with the cable and then still could not use it because connecting it would have meant tearing into my home theater system. We also could not use our Dish antenna due to too many tall trees.
The park is dirty with trash, ashes from previous users charcoal grills, dog manure not picked up by users, old food left out for a dog to ingest and get sick or die, and although each site is concrete, they haven't been cleaned off of the tree droppings, leaves and grass. There are no trash cans and no place to put your trash or dog droppings. The utility layout is the worst I have ever seen. The site also has a concrete patio area with a picnic table, but it is not in the right spot if you want to hook up. In order to use the hook-ups, you must pull far enough forward that your steps and awning are no longer over the concrete patio. The sewer connection is roughly 25 feet away from the electric and water so you have to use either an extremely long sewer hose or longer than usual water hose and electric line. Trees are still existing immediately on the sides of the concrete and have not been trimmed back, meaning you are going to scrape the sides of your coach when you are coming and going on the branches and if you try to turn before getting your back end completely out, you're going to hit a tree. I was told every site was big rig friendly but I found none that are.
The girls at the front desk are completely uninformed about the RV section of this park and only really take care of the water park. The answer to several of my questions about the park and its policies was, "I really don't know. I can only tell you what my manager told me. I have never been back to that part of the park and don't know anything about it." Between this and the condition of the sites, I don't believe anyone, including the management, has visited the RV park since the beginning of season or possibly last year, and for this, I cannot recommend this park under any circumstances.

This is probably a good park if the campground office/water park is open. Ask when making the reservation about where to park in order to check in. There is a designated spot, but NO signs. We were told to check in at the hotel. We did. The front desk did not know how to check us in. She had us write down our credit card number & she'd pass it on to someone in the morning. She did not know the code to the bathrooms etc... If you want to watch tv, you must place a $100 deposit on a box to... Read More

She did not know the code to the bathrooms etc... If you want to watch tv, you must place a $100 deposit on a box to unscramble the tv + a fee to watch tv. We arrived around 4pm, but the person who could take care of the tv fees wouldn't be in until 11pm. Skipped that as we were only there for one night. You must access the campground via the parking lot BEHIND the hotel/water park. We were told to just choose a spot. We had a 44ft motorhome + tow. We fit into one spot. Our 50 amp service kept shutting down. We only used what was necessary to keep the electricity on. Fortunately, no one was parked in the spots ahead of us, otherwise we would have had to unhook, back out. The campground road is confusing - lots of one ways & connecting spots - especially when you have to find your own spot. The campground is well maintained. Perfect for 38ft or shorter. Short walk to water park. Will not stay here again.

This review is for the RV park at the WaterZoo. Their RV park is a really great place to stay. Site 31, in our opinion was the best site. It had plenty of shade and was very enjoyable sitting out on their powder coated table watching the birds during the day and the rabbits and lightening bugs at night. Just about every site had one of these metal yet sanded down and powder coated tables. 31 was the the only one that had a pit that we saw. We really didnt know what to expect because there were... Just about every site had one of these metal yet sanded down and powder coated tables. 31 was the the only one that had a pit that we saw. We really didnt know what to expect because there were not many reviews online for this park but when we got there my husband said "nice pick honey." We didnt use the showers or restrooms but I did go to check them out for this review. They were clean and the showers looked brand new. A single shower is inside a private bathroom that you can lock. There is only one way in and one way out of the park. Not sure what its like on the weekends because we showed up on a Monday but the park was very quiet. There were only 4 other campers spread throughout the park. When arriving the grass was not too tall and someone came out to cut it again. While there we needed some supplies that we forgot and didnt want to unhook our trailer. The staff at the hotel were very nice and went out of their way for a request we made for supplies. The sites have full hookups, are pull through and paved. The park is pet friendly and horse friendly having two horse stalls for your convenience.
