What a big surprise finding the Ranch House. Absolutely meticulously maintained camp ground with a small creek/river running right through it. Extraordinarily friendly owners who are the staff and go out of their way to make you stay excellent. They have a roadhouse that serves excellent food and delicious pizza too! If we ever get back to Alaska again, we will most certainly include a stop at The Ranch House Lodge! Spacious pull thru sites
We stayed here the first week in May 2019. So happy we chose The Ranch House. We were only going stay 1 night and ended up staying 3. friendly, helpful hosts. Very clean bath house, well kept campground, site was level and we had water hookup (first since we left NY, 2 week prior). This will be our go to RV park when we return next year.
We camped one night at the Ranch House Lodge and RV Park during the 4th week of May 2018. Stopping here was a "lucky break" for us because the RV park where we had reservations that night was not yet open for the season due to frozen water lines. So, we turned into the Ranch House. The park is 14 miles west of Glennallen (actually their address is in Tolsona, AK) right along the Glenn Highway. The owner checked us in and although she was very busy with other chores, she took time to guide me... Read More

The park is 14 miles west of Glennallen (actually their address is in Tolsona, AK) right along the Glenn Highway. The owner checked us in and although she was very busy with other chores, she took time to guide me into our campsite next to the creek and showed us around. We had full hook-ups including water, 50 amp electric and sewer at our campsite for $36. It was very easy to maneuver through the park and our campsite was roomy enough for our large 5th wheel trailer. We did not use any of the public restrooms or shower facilities during our stay. The RV park is adjacent to the Glenn Highway and surprisingly quiet overnight. If you stay at the Ranch House, forget about cooking your own meal that night in camp. The menu in the on-site restaurant is too good to pass up. We enjoyed some of the best chili I've ever had there! While we ate in the cozy log cabin roadhouse, we had very interesting conversations with the owners and other travelers. It was just like hanging out with family! We were treated to a wonderfully detailed and fascinating story of the history of the old Alaskan Roadhouses along the Glenn Highway, of which the main log building at the Ranch House is one of the few still remaining originals of a by-gone era. The owners have plans for continued expansion and improvements at this RV park, meaning that the place will only get better over time! There are many things that impressed me about this RV park, but the best thing by far are the owners wonderful people! This is a great place to stop after a day of rough roads and pot holes on the Tok Cut-Off and the Glenn Highway! We will be back!

Don't misjudge this nice park when driving in. It is a work in progress but the facilities are great in their current state. The lodge is a quaint old roadhouse and the park operates a bar, package store and restaurant out of the building. The park was on a beautiful setting on a stream. Be sure to eat dinner or have a drink at the lodge and get to know the owners and some of the other travelers staying there. A great stop between Anchorage and the Richardson Highway,
The lodge and rv sites are some of the best we have found in our travels. The host make this place great, many stories to be heard and fun to be around. Once you stay here you will always stop here on the way through. The dinners prepared were excellent, company was great. The wife and I will always stop here anytime we pass through. The RV sites are all pull-thru, plenty long enough and the creek/river can be seen and heard right outside your RV. In addition, all sites are full hookup with all... Read More
