Peaceful and quiet Campground with great amenities!

4 4 out of 5 stars 07/29/2021

This is an offshoot of a golf resort encompassing about 25 very large sites on a bed of gravel throughout. Very generous site spacing with wide lanes for stress free maneuvering. No grass but mostly treed with a few satellite friendly sites. Verizon signal of two bars. Picnic tables, fire rings and a large area of AstroTurf "patios" are at every site. The AstroTurf appears to have come from an old sports field which included the yard markings. The park is on a peninsula of a 65 acre catch and release... Read More

The AstroTurf appears to have come from an old sports field which included the yard markings. The park is on a peninsula of a 65 acre catch and release fishing lake. Views of the lake are severely restricted by forest but there are two back-ins that could give you a nice water view. All utilities are solid except for WiFi which ranged from 1/2 to 1 1/2 Mbps. I complained to the office and was told someone would fix it in a couple of days. Three days later a tech arrived at the access point and told me we SHOULD be getting 40 Mbps but he didn't know how to fix it. We stayed three more days after that and the throughput never improved. There were no seasonal campers. In fact, there was never more than four campers in the park at any one time during our stay. One night, we were the only camper. No bathhouse or laundry. There was a pool but it was not within walking distance. There is no office to greet you. Check-in is over the phone with welcome packets left for you at the park entrance. Access to the resort resources were included with a key card and included an arcade game room, 18 hole golf, tennis court and a range of other activates but all were a long walk or short ride away. The resort hotel included a diner with typical golf club fare. We camped at Oak Terrace RV Resort in a Fifth Whee

Oak Terrace RV Resort has become our family’s favorite place to camp! The sites are large, paved, and level. Many sites also offer great privacy and beautiful views of the woods and lake. The atmosphere is quiet and family friendly. You can choose to just relax or enjoy the long list of amenities offered by the resort. (Pool, tennis and basketball courts, playground, recreation room, restaurant, golf course) The resort winds around a lovely lake and golf course and the tree lined path makes for... Read More

The owner has stopped by our site to check on us and see how he could improve our experience each of the 4 times we have stayed. Service like that is hard to find, and shows the pride he takes in this rv resort. I don’t give a 5 star rating unless it’s well-deserved, and this one certainly is. Highly recommend.

We had site 11, which gave us a beautiful view of the lake. Appreciated the owner coming to our site to make sure we were satisfied with our accommodations. Enjoyed the pool, rec room, excellent restaurant, and beautiful golf course. We're coming back in August!

This was our first time staying here and we enjoyed it very much. Loved the AstroTurf at each site, kept things that much cleaner. Nice big fire rings. Its a small campground, 20 sites which we liked. We are newbies so its nice trying to figure things out without an audience. Nice quiet clean campground. We didn't get a chance to visit the pool but it did open will we were there. Also didn't know what to rate the restrooms since we didn't use them at all. Road our bikes around the whole resort seeing... Read More

Road our bikes around the whole resort seeing several deer. Staff were all very helpful and very kind. Oh and if you go bring your own wood for now. Going back in August. Thank you!!

We had an amazing time! All facilities are super nice, staff and owners are so helpful. Our site was shaded and had lots room between sites. New fire pits and all new hookups and picnic tables. Loved the AstroTurf! The resort center was great to have access to - lots of games and fun. We rented a boat and drove the golf course. Would have loved to have played but didn't bring our clubs. The course is beautiful. We will definitely be back soon!
