Goldendale Observatory is a MUST do!
Goldendale Observatory State Park is an educational facility on the northern side of Goldendale, Washington, notable for its unusually large public telescope. The state park occupies five acres atop a 2,100-foot hill.
Stayed one night in site #7 in 35' Class A with toad. Site was long enough, gravel, almost level. Grass was long. The park was fairly well kept, but the area felt super sketchy. Hotel seems attached and scary RV park across the street for full timers? had loud music. Seems simple but a privacy fence surrounding the park might make sissies like me feel more secure and would let the sketchy-ness seem farther away. Did not speak with staff, did not use facilities.
We stayed one night at STARGAZERS and enjoyed it very much. It was quiet, EXTREMELY clean, very nice staff. The bathrooms were amazing--clean, spacious, well designed. I chatted a bit with one of the staff members they care about keeping the property clean. Sites were well spaced with grass in between. Overall rating--trees would make it a 5. A McDonald's, gas station, Dollar General, Mexican restaurant were very close by a Dairy Queen was just a short drive away. There is an observatory... Read More

Stonehenge(replica) was close by overlooking the Columbia River Gorge. Goldendale is a sweet little town! We were traveling from Washington to California. We'd stay here again!

Stayed here for a quick overnight on our way to Glacier. This park was great for an overnight, with super clean bathrooms and decently spaced sites. No obvious long-term residents. Good Mexican food right next door to park. Went to the Goldendale Observatory, which was pretty cool. Check-in person was very friendly, gentleman who guided us to our spot was a little gruff and very concerned about his sprinkler heads. Overall, I'd probably stay here again if we needed a place to overnight.
Everything is up to date and well taken care. Laundry is super clean. Very nice manager greeted me. They are continuing to invest in the park - so nice to see!
just now Great NEW RV Park!! Beautiful views of Mt Adam's and Mt Hood!! Full hookups for small and large RVs. We just happened to come across this by their road signs. They are a GoodSam park, but not listed in the app yet. We will definitely be back!! #GoodSam
New State of the art RV Resort with Long, Wide, easy acccess full hook-up sites. Close to Restaurants, Stores, and the town. Spectacular views of Hood, St. Helens, and Rainer. The town just built a $5.5M observatory that will be open soon. There is a Vietnam Memorial with a full size replica of Stonehenge. The park is clean, the Facilities are clean and the staff is friendly! HIGHLY RECOMMEND A STAY HERE!
