Hearthside Grove at Lake Erie is an exceptional park Class A only park. We have stayed here three times, all of which were great experiences. The sites are big and well kept. The park itself is also well kept and makes use of adaptive street lighting on the wide roads. This is a great feature as it really helps the night sky be visible when the street lights are dimmed. The amenities are excellent and there is a a full activities calendar. The owners and staff are also great. Our only complaints... Read More
Hearthside Grove at Lake Erie is an exceptional park Class A only park. We have stayed here three times, all of which were great experiences. The sites are big and well kept. The park itself is also well kept and makes use of adaptive street lighting on the wide roads. This is a great feature as it really helps the night sky be visible when the street lights are dimmed. The amenities are excellent and there is a a full activities calendar. The owners and staff are also great. Our only complaints are they don't offer cable TV and, being a new campground, a lot of the landscape is still immature. However, the surrounding trees are very large and there are some larger trees within the park. Stated another way, it isn't as if it was clear cut - but you can tell the trees aren't thirty years old. I will also add it is on the expensive side, being only "beat" by Fort Wilderness at Disney in terms of nightly rates. Nonetheless, it hasn't kept us from coming back. Even our kids love it, which says a lot for Class A resort.
