Owner threw a violent temper tantrum when he saw me cleaning my bike. Screamed at me that I should have asked first (I did and was told it was okay by one of his employees who was incredibly nice and helpful) and that I must be stupid (going to earn a JD from Berkeley Law soon- not stupid). I have never seen such venom from someone who works in hospitality. I was afraid he would become violent given his reaction. He seems like he needs a medication adjustment perhaps to rebalance everything....... Read More

Bathrooms and showers are filthy and there is no privacy in the shower. I've seen multiple reviews stating that the WiFi and cable don't work so this is false advertising and not a temporary outage. Mainly though, the owner is a creep. Stay away!

After traveling the Alaska Highway we made our way to the Denali National Park area and stayed in this RV park. We are a 37 foot fifth wheel and need a space that will accommodate us--which they had. The park was basically a parking lot behind a mall in the center of the business district just north of the park entrance. We were given a back-in site which turned out to be a little more private and spacious than the pull-through sites which were very tight. The restrooms and laundry were average... Read More

The restrooms and laundry were average and generally clean. They did charge to use the showers which we encountered often in Canada but seldom in Alaska. The best thing about the park was its proximity to the National Park and to this business area. We walked many places including to go on a rafting tour. We also found that there were several nearby eateries and pubs worth visiting including the bar at the Salmon Bake.

This park is best avoided. It's only redeeming feature is being close to Denali, but there are other choices nearby. The RV area is merely an uneven gravel lot with as many RVs crammed in as possible. It backs up to a shopping/entertainment complex which is open long hours and the staff may take their break beneath your windows. WiFI didn't work. Laundry area had old barely serviceable machines and was expensive.
Wish we had read reviews before our stay here. They all tell the story of the horrible sites, conditions and general miserable attitude of the staff personnel. We also had site 48, backed up to the cafe, site 47 their outdoor kitchen, and in front of that their dumpster. Garbage being thrown out the door of the cafe right into our so-called campsite. We have pictures! Doors slamming, music blaring, loud voices at all hours. Had we had other options for a campsite, we would have left and gone... Read More

On top of all else, a caravan came in, loud, boisterous, diesel engines running and foul smelling fuel. No place to walk the dog ~ only grass visible had signs for no trespassing and when we asked about where to walk the dog, we were told to go down in front of the businesses on the busy highway and walk her there. No wifi even though advertised. Again, staff could be less interested. Good Sam should reevaluate their recommendations.

This is a good place to park while you visit Denali National Park. It is basically a rock parking lot behind a strip center of eateries and gift shops. But ok with us. The site was level and dry. The water and 30 amp electric worked well. We didn't use the wifi nor the showers or laundry. It is a mile from Denali N.P. so it is very convenient. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The park is very utilitarian but we will stay here again when we come back to Denali.
RUDE, SURLY BEHAVIOR IS INTOLERABLE ESPECIALLY FROM THE PROPRIETORS OF A BUSINESS. BUT THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE RECEIVED AT DENALI RAINBOW VILLAGE RV PARK. I HAVE NEVER RENTED A RV SITE AND HAD TO PARK MY TRUCK A BLOCK AWAY. THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE WIFI, BUT NO. THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE CABLE TV BUT ONLY HALF OF THE CHANNELS WERE GOOD. MOST OF THIS I WOULD HAVE OVERLOOKED BUT THE RUDE, SURLY BEHAVIOR IS INTOLERABLE. NEVER WILL I STAY HERE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. ALL SHOULD KNOW THIS IS MY FIRST... Read More

IF YOU THINK YOU WILL HAVE A BETTER EXPERIENCE THAN I DID, GOOD LUCK, I HOPE YOU DO. ALSO YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT THEY CHARGE $4 FOR A 7 MINUTE SHOWER.

We stayed for 2 days here and all sites are not back in, we had a pull through for our 40' motor home. The spaces are a bit tight but a lot of rv parks in Alaska are this way. The location is perfect for Denali National Park and the staff is very knowledgeable about what to do and which tours are the best. Very helpful. The wifi was fine when were there and worked well. The phone signal was good so we also used our unlimited data which we use more in Alaska every year as towers go up. This is... Read More

Worst camping experience in 5 years. Got site 48. Bad parking, bakery out back and side windows. Start banging pots at 6:30 & staff uses picnic table for breaks. Parks management worthless. Rest of sites are rocks and barely large enough for slides. Stay away.
This park's primary appeal is it's proximity to Denali National Park's entrance. We stayed in a site with full hook ups, which are limited and are all back in sites. Our site was very much not level and took considerable efforts to get our rig even close to level. The utility hook ups were adequate, except that the park forbids the use of pressure regulators on the freshwater connections. They claim that pressure regulators cause leakage in their back flow preventors. Very little space between sites... Read More

The utility hook ups were adequate, except that the park forbids the use of pressure regulators on the freshwater connections. They claim that pressure regulators cause leakage in their back flow preventors. Very little space between sites and not much room to park towed vehicles. WiFi was very poor and, apparently the park is aware of this as they informed me when giving the log in instructions "you may may not have Internet access depending on what other guests are doing on the network". The park is only a mile from the national park entrance and the national park shuttles and tour buses pick up passengers right across the highway in front of the Denali Princess Lodge.

The location is great - convenient to Denali, dining, and shopping. Plus the park does have everything advertised, although the WiFi did not work the four days we were there. But the RV park itself is not that great. It is old, tired, with very, very small/tight spaces. Two RVs with slides will have their slides almost touching. During the day before most RVs arrive, the park looks like an old deserted and run down ghost town. Other than the location, the park has no redeeming qualities.
