We stayed 5 nights, and it was an overall good experience. The staff were a delight to chat with, and knew all the local short cuts to Yellowstone and other attractions, plus restaurants to recommend. The park was carved out of the woods, so it was a bit tight for larger rigs, but not impossible to navigate. My only disappointment was the WIFI. The first 2 days we had decent unlimited service... then it changed to open usage for a 6hr period, and a fee based for the next 18hrs.

Though the website pictures depicts grass in the RV park, there is none. Very dusty and dirty---sites not very level so had some difficulty getting trailer level. Making reservations and getting a confirmation difficult. Staff very friendly and willing to assist your needs. Good access to Yellowstone Park.

If you like camping in the forest and not have the parking lot feeling, then this is the place for you. Sites are very long and even the longest RV will have room. The width is a challenge as the trees can be in the way of opening your slide outs. But with the long lengths of each site you can usually maneuver to an acceptable position. Pool and spa use is included as is an incredible wifi. Each site can also have its own camp fire. You don't see that very often in an RV park. Its only 21 miles... Read More

I made reservations for the RV park for the nights of August 21 through the 23rd. When I called to reserve a spot I was told that the cost per night was $55 for Tuesday and Wednesday but it would be $125 for Monday night (the eclipse was Monday around noon). I told the person on the phone that I would not be willing to pay the $125 for Monday especially since the eclipse was finished by then. She said "OK how much would you be willing to pay?" I told her that I would pay the normal daily rate.... Read More

I told her that I would pay the normal daily rate. She said that she would change the rate. I should have realized then that this is not the kind of place I wanted to do business with but I went ahead and booked the three nights. When we arrived I was told that the internet is free for 4 hours but if I wanted to not have to repeatedly sign in, I could pay $7.99 per day or $13.99 for three days. I said that I was good with 4 hours for free. The internet worked for the first 2 days but on the third day they changed the internet availability rules. The new rule was you could sign in once per day and from the time you sign in it is free for 6 hours. If you want the internet after that it would be $5 per day. Evidently they weren't getting enough people to willingly give them money for internet access. Most places I have stayed DO NOT CHARGE for internet. Sawtelle does. Our site had a picnic table but it was made of plastic and the top was so warped from people putting hot items on it, that you couldn't set a glass on it with any confidence that it would not tip over. The rest room for the RV side is adequate but the showers are in bad shape. There is no privacy in the shower and no place to put your belongings when you are in the shower. My advice to any RV'er would be to stay somewhere else. I know I will never stay here again.

We picked this resort as it was close to Yellowstone without the hassle of pulling our rig all the way into Yellowstone. As in the previous review we found the sites close together, but they put us on the end of a row which made it nice. This space was easy to get in and out of, but I could see some spaces would be tougher to maneuver. WIFI reception at the site was nil, but we were there to unplug anyway. Camp sights are too close together. Not much room to get your rig in and out of your camping space. Rained while we were there. That was not their fault, but there was poor drainage and the camp spots were lower tham the roads. There was ATV rentals which was nice for the kids. Nice indoors swimming pool and hot tub. Close to Yellowstone. Camp spots were nicer than the ones at Yellowstone.
