We stayed a couple of nights at this facility to have a full day touring the Vicksburg National Battlefield park. This site was very well situated for our purposes and the availability of gas/diesel at reasonable prices near by was a plus. We found the facility attractive with spacious level side to side parking spaces and green space between RVs. Our space was also slightly downhill but well within the capability of our trailer tongue lift jack. We did not experience the WiFi or ATT cell phone... Read More

Our space was also slightly downhill but well within the capability of our trailer tongue lift jack. We did not experience the WiFi or ATT cell phone issues mentioned in earlier reviews but would echo the point about relatively long runs to the hookups. Our only gripe about this place was that the cable on our site didn't work. When we asked to have it checked we were assured that the maintenance person had checked and verified it as functional however it never worked for us. Needless to say at the RV resorts we stayed at in the days before and after this place our cable connection never had an issue. We didn't check out the bathroom but did see a number of people going to/from so assume it must have been at least acceptable.

We stayed for two nights on our way back through the area so that we would have a full day to view the Battle of Vicksburg National Park. This is about 15 minutes from the Park and easily manageable. This is a big campground and all the sites are gravel pull throughs. There is plenty of grass between sites, and most have pretty new picnic tables. The hookups are at the very back of the site, so make sure you have extension cables, a long water hose, and a long sewer connection if needed. The sites were level from side to side, but the front of our trailer did need lifted a good amount (slight hill). The sites were quiet throughout the evening, and the park was about half full.
The park welcomes dogs and gave our pup a treat on arrival. There is a large grass area for dogs to run and walk. The area is safe and we felt confident that our kids could visit the playground and ride bikes down the gravel paths.
There are some trees throughout, but the park is pretty open. There's not a tremendous amount of shade. There are also two wifi points in the park, but the service is intermittent and a little on the weak side. If there was one area for improvement it is here, as AT&T phones also have either one bar or none so wifi would be helpful.
I would certainly stay here again and would recommend this campground to friends and family.

Stayed overnight, close to I-20, lots of long pull thru sites, good space, very friendly and helpful staff. Well maintained gravel roads and gravel sites. The hook ups are at the very back of the site. We opted to unhook our tow vehicle so that our power cord and hoses would reach. Otherwise our 43' RV and tow would have fit easily on site without unhooking. We did not use the restrooms or laundry. Would stay again.
Spent the weekend here. Fairly Nice park, Wide Spaces, so you are not crowded! Mostly Pull Thru sites, plenty of smaller back in sites. Not too many Full Timers! The BIGGEST Drawback is the Utilities. This was a poorly designed Park. All Utilities are at the far rear of each site. You can hook up your power OK, but water you will need a 30 ft. Hose and Sewer the same thing. Fortunately, I had an extension sewer hose that barely reached the sewer hole! I carry multi lengths of Water Hoses... Read More

Other than those issues, the park is quiet on a Hill and directly across from the Vicksburg Airport.
NO CABLE TV and The WIFI isn't that great. If you have an HD or other Analog antenna, your reception will be limited!

Park is big, with a lot of sites and the individual sites are pretty level and have plenty of room. Facilities were basic but OK, price is good and the wi-fi is terrible. On the road between I-20 and the park are a number of cheap gas stations, so use these if you're going there. When we were there in November, there seemed to be a lot of people who had come south for the winter with their BIG rigs. For the price, it's a good park although they could and should fix the wi-fi.
Pros: lots of long pull thru sites, good amount of space between sites, very friendly and helpful staff, trash pick up at site, close to Walmart and National Military Park. Cons: all gravel roads, gravel sites, and no cable. As another reviewer stated, all the hook ups are at the very back of the site. I needed two water hoses and 30 feet of sewer lines, just be prepared. Also in my site sewer lines were running up hill! We did not use the restrooms. We stayed three nights and would stay again. Nice place to stay for a couple of nights. Does not have many extras but is kept clean and not very expensive. Looks like it has a lot of permanent residents but was very quiet. I would stay here again. No cable TV and the Wifi is VERY Slow!
We stayed here both on our way to South Carolina and back. The staff is SUPER friendly and made us feel welcome. The RV spots are gravel but most are level and very big. We had a pull through site both times with a 4 door diesel pickup and 35 foot bumper pull. There was 20' of site left without having to unhook. Would have given 5 stars but facilities are showing their age (altough they were very clean and everything works). Very good place to stay when passing through or visiting Vicksburg area. Read More

Great place to stop overnight from Texas to Florida !
Approximately 6 miles south of I-20. Stopped for overnight. Easy access into park and spot. Personnel friendly and professional. Park roads and spots have a good amount of gravel and level. Well maintained. Good value.
This park is quiet, well-maintained, clean and has very friendly and helpful managers onsite. The lots are huge. Parking is on gravel with lots of green space between rigs. Sites are level. There is a swimming pool and very nice playground. It's only 6 miles south of Interstate 20, but close to all the attractions and restaurants in historic Vicksburg. Also, convienent for a short stay campground for travelers using the Interstate.
Nice place with wide, long sites. Showers are older but clean. No cable but good antenna reception. Wifi worked well. Only real issue is sewer is located about 30ft back and I did'nt have that long of a hose. Had to back up to empty tanks on way out. We would stay here again
I was concerned that this park, which I reserved ahead of time, would be too far from Vicksburg, but it's not. Easy, quick drive to all the places you want to see. The park is large and open with level sites. Only the sites around the perimeter have shade. Restroom is old but clean and adequate. Laundry is fine. Wifi connection is good.
A good park. No frills with wide and long lots. Easy for big rigs to negotiate. Clean restrooms. Towel dispensers and toilet seats are showing their age. At site trash pickup, a plus for us. U turn to get in, but there is plenty of room. No highway, train or airplane noise. Restaurants, diesel fuel and Walmart close by.
Friendly staff, good sized lots, nice park. Had read other reviews about wifi so asked to be in good wifi location, not great reception right by tower and park was not very full. Park overall is clean, but Tables old and warped. Bathrooms clean but paint on shower and bathroom floors was peeling and old, paper towel dispensers rusty.
Their website is terrible, but when you get there it's nice. Plenty of room. Has trees now. Bathrooms were very clean. The best part is the great staff. The kind of people that you could be friends with long term. Facility is well taken care of and close to the Military Park. Don't miss that! I'll stay here next time I go to Vicksburg. A favorite.
