This is a great little campground. It was clean, spacious, has beautiful, level sites with trees for shade, and great facilities (including laundry). The ONLY negative is it is close to the interstate and you can hear the road noise from that, but it wasn't excessive. The people were friendly and very helpful. We would stay there again if passing through.
This is a lovely, well maintained park. The overall rating is 4 because it is right on the highway and a railroad track. there was an escort to the site. There were signs leading us from the highway right to the park. The last road leading into the park is VERY narrow.
Second night of our seven day trip with grandkids. Kamp Komfort was an amazing park to visit. This is a sweet, well kept transit park. We saw/heard one train during our overnight stay and youngest grand daughter and I ran to watch the train roll through. We heard very little traffic from I-64 once we calmed down and went to bed. Nice roomy pull through site. (I was blessed to see a shooting star while tending the camp fire before bed). Sites were level. When we arrived check in was quick and easy,... Read More

The pool was refreshing after driving, grand girl had a blast swimming. Bathhouse was very nice. Warm showers, clean, comfortable.
Hats off to the staff at Kamp Komfort for making us feel so welcome.

on our way to Yellowstone, stopped for overnight rest but really love the place, decided to stay another night. Hosts were very gracious and friendly. Almost all sites were shaded with mature trees, Property is well maintained, restrooms were clean and bright. A little noisy due to I74 but not too bad, there were train tracks near by but the train goes through about 4PM, no big deal. Pool was beautiful, clean and warm. Would definitely return!
We arrived in a rain storm, so we did not take full advantage of all their amenities. However we had no problems with their pull-through site or utilities. The rain was severe and caused local flooding, but our site was not affected. Would like to return in better weather, as I think they put significant effort in making the campground a nice place to visit. Good WIFI. We did not use the restrooms or showers. The local diner, Carlock Family Restaurant, had great food.
Excellent customer service experience. Friendly camp-hosts. Grounds are lush and very well maintained. Beautiful flowers, crystal clear pool. Definitely a hidden oasis.
We loved everything about this park with the exception of the noise from the trains and highway. I could live with one or the other but both was too much for us. Train tracks are on one side of the park and the interstate is on the other. The office people were nice and the sites were easy in and out.
Highway on one side and train tracks on the other. This is so noisy all night. As for the campgrounds this place is very nice. Grass sites and well kept. Only problem is water and electric are on one side and sewer on the other. Had to run hose under the trailer to hook up. Had a 50 foot hose so i had enough hose. other than the noise I would stay here but the trucks all night was crazy.
Wonderful overnight stop on our way home from vacation. They were friendly, helpful and made check in and set up a breeze. It was easy to find and only a short drive off of I-74. We highly recommend Kamp Komforrt and we will stay again the next time our travels bring us this direction! Thanks for making us feel welcome.
This is a very cute campground tucked in amongst cornfields. Very clean and kept up. I liked the little flower gardens in various places. People have commented about the train and interstate noise but neither bothered us at all. We would camp here again.
Clean facility. Spacious sites. Lots of interstate and rr noise. Worst part was very poor signal for wi fi. After logging in would get kicked off within seconds. Asked staff about signal; response wi fi ok no problems. Will not return.
Traffic noise from I-74 was a problem. Helpful staff getting to site. Appears to be new gravel on sites & roads.
Very good service. Office made us feel like part of their family. I defently will be back. You can take a Cajun out of the swamp, but you can't take the swamp out of the Cajun. AaaaaaEeeeee
Friendly helpful camp hosts. This RV park rocks customer service excellence!
A regular visitor to Kamp Komfort - at least twice a year. Each time we visit there is something new - upgrades in service, appearance, etc. The Owner and hosts are friendly and very accommodating. Park facility maintenance is very good. Sites in both 30 & 50 amp areas are pull through with full hookups - a few side by side in 30 amp area. For clubs and organizations there is a pavilion and for early and late season events a garage with heat. Will continue to go to Kamp Komfort regularly.
The people are very friendly. The campground is well laid out and clean. The only complaint is it is located next to I-74 and the traffic noise is bothersome all the time.
Very friendly people. Home-like environment. Quiet and pleasant. Pull through site was easily navigated. Trees to shade your rig.
Lots of shade and decent sites, but the interstate noise was overwhelming all night long. The place also has railroad tracks even closer than the interstate. Fortunately, only 1 train rolled through, but it was loud. They had no ice. They wifi was down, but came back up. All in all very average, and way to noisy.
It was very well groomed and the staff was very friendly. We had an electric issue and they were on it immediately. The traffic from highway did not bother us. Only suggestion is to have a laundry facility. There weren't any close by. Bloomington the closest and that was 15 miles. Overall a very nice place to stay
We have stayed at Kamp Komfort at least 5 times this past summer (we are fairly close and this is very conveniently located). The 50 Amp sites are extra long and all pull through. Very easy in and out. Hookups are well located on the site (no extra long cords or long hose needed). Enough trees for a little bit of shade, but open enough for my satellite to be easy to setup. Owner is very friendly and always willing to help out. The facility has a nice pool as well. Overall, I highly suggest... Read More

Overall, I highly suggest this campground if you are looking for a short getaway or even an overnight stop when travelling along I55, I74 or I39.

Great facility. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Grounds are well kept and everything is clean. We had a problem with our fridge and they recommended a mobile service that was excellent. We would highly recommend this campground.
