This RV park is a little off the beaten path, but a real gem. We spent 2 weeks here. I asked for a shady spot if possible, and was assigned to what was supposed to be the shadiest spot in the park (C-11). We were referred to this park by a friend and were delighted. The park may show a little age here and there but that's small stuff. This is a great park. Quiet and relaxing. Our spot was a back-in spot. We have a 36' 5th wheel. Our spot was a back-in spot. We have a 36' 5th wheel. We had a deck that extended out over the water. It had a picnic table on it. The campers around us were quite successful fishing and catching crappie.
We had an electrical issue the first night where ants had gotten into the 50 amp breaker. They had me plug into the adjacent pedestal for the night. The support staff had already replaced the breaker before we got up the next morning.
While we were there we had severe thunderstorm warnings. The owners came around to make sure everyone knew where the storm shelter was. We used it twice in our stay.
The owners are gems as well. You would like to find people like these at every park. We highly recommend Water's Edge. We will definitely return if in the area again.
Another item worth mentioning is the Pensacola (Grand Lake) dam. It is the world's longest multiple arch dam, extending about a mile and up to 150' high. There are tours of this historic dam in the summer months.

We stayed for one night at this campground during our cross country trip, so we tested a lot of different campgrounds during that trip. This campground was by far the most gorgeous setting of all the places we stayed at. The site we were given had a deck built out over the edge of an embankment with a picnic table and the view to the lake was just amazing. The showers and bathrooms were very clean (maybe a little dated, but that's nitpicking). This was a little off the beaten path (about 10-15... Read More
