I see the comment before me in 2018 states it's oil refinery workers. I was wondering as most of the units in here were permanent. An overnight stay would be ok, but that would be it. No Amenities. Very quiet as there is hardly anyone here. Roads in park are good. A little tight.
While we found the staff to be very welcoming and accommodating the campground itself felt more like a mobile home park. I would guess that about 95% of sites were filled with extended stay oil refinerie workers.(whom I have nothing against) It may not be like this all the time but this was the case for us.
If you are looking for a nice, quiet place to stop in the Wichita area this is the place. It's not fancy and it doesn't have a pool or a playground but it is very quiet. You are not far from El Dorado Lake and it's very easy to get there. The owners/managers are very nice and, if it's not busy they will let you choose your site from those available. We liked that there was a dog park but it was small. However, it was clean as the other dog owners cleaned up after their pets.
