We were so disappointed with this campground. Reviews on Good Sam and their website were good. Wow that was not the case when we checked in. Grounds are neglected and need attention badly. Weeds are 3' high around pool and in common areas. Hasn't been mowed in quite some time. Pool is missing tiles and fence line is full of weeds. Public bathrooms were filthy. Talked to a local at the marina and he said park has been owned by same buy for 15 years (lives at the front) and he doesn't care.... Read More

Nice campground with easy access. Flat, grassy sites, immature trees which was good for satellite TV. About half the sites are permanent but they are concentrated in the rear. Restrooms roomy and clean. We used Beantown as a base to explore the rest of the peninsula. It is well-situated for this purpose as we were able to cover all the spots north of Sturgeon Bay over the weekend. Nearby Bailey's Harbor is a charming little town.
Very nice campground. We wanted to stay in Door County for our last trip of the year and found the weekend of Oct 10-11 very busy due to the Pumpkin Patch festival. We were unfamiliar with the campground, but in making the reservation, I was pleasantly surprised. We got to the campground after dark, but we were guided to the site and were able to set-up quickly. The campground is relatively flat with mostly immature trees so it helped with both WIFI and Sat TV reception. The pool was closed... Read More

The campground is relatively flat with mostly immature trees so it helped with both WIFI and Sat TV reception. The pool was closed for the season but the bathroom facilities were clean.
Location is just a bit outside of town but you could get there with a brisk walk or an enjoyable bike ride.
Nothing bad to say about the campground expect it could use a "bigger" sign out front. At night, my old eyes missed it and with an "A" towing a toad, there was no making a U-turn. The "around the block" took about 15 minutes.
Great playground for kids (we have a 10 yr old) and a nice little basketball court.
We will definitely make Beantown one of our "go-to" campgrounds in Door County.
