Neapolitan Cove RV Resort Good Sam Verified Campground

We were to stay in the Naples FL area for a little more than one week. We had made an rv reservation at Neapolitan Cove July, 2018 & paid a $45 deposit asking for a pull through site. We arrived 4/26/2019, and proceeded to check in. We then paid the remaining balance due for our stay (check out date 5/5/2019). We were to stay in the Naples FL area for a little more than one week. We had made an rv reservation at Neapolitan Cove July, 2018 & paid a $45 deposit asking for a pull through site. We arrived 4/26/2019, and proceeded to check in. We then paid the remaining balance due for our stay (check out date 5/5/2019). After paying, we were told by the person that there were no pull through sites available as they had a "rally" scheduled to arrive on 5/4/2019. We would have to accept a back in site he stated. Being the off season, we were surprised by this statement as we had seen "numerous" available pull through sites upon driving into the park and proceeding to the office check in area. I then asked for an adjustment to our rate, as I expected to have a pull through site. He then said there was no adjustment available as sites are $75/night. He then picked up the phone and made a call, presumably to his wife. He abruptly left the room to meet her outside. She entered the room, sat down at the desk without acknowledging us, and rudely asked for our credit card. We asked why she wanted the card and she replied "we are giving you a refund and you are leaving the park". We asked calmly why and no reason was given, as she again demanded our card. We tried to reason with her that we had made a reservation nine months ago, had paid the deposit then and now the balance had been paid and would reluctantly accept a back in site. This was to no avail. She exclaimed loudly that if we did not surrender our credit card, she would call the sheriff. At that point, we decided that this couple were two of the most unprofessional business people we had ever encountered. We had no desire to give this park our money, especially this very rude couple! We wanted nothing to do with this awful place. We gave her the credit card used for the balance which she credited. Next, we gave her the credit card used to make the deposit which she credited. The take away of our story is this - we hope other people avoid Neapolitan Cove RV Resort because of the poor treatment we received. This couple should not be working in the service industry!

Beautifully manicured sites (we have a 5th wheel and were in a back-in site with a cement patio near the office) in this small but elegant RV resort. We enjoyed a wonderful New Year's Eve pot-luck and dance with live music in the hall beside the pool. The pool and deck area were clean and well maintained, if a bit small. We saw the January planned activities list which was fine but the park has no outdoor activities (shuffleboard, lawn bowling, horseshoes or any court). Price was a little on the... Read More

Price was a little on the high side compared to other FL parks we've been to, although this park was nicely central to shopping and not far from beaches and downtown Naples. Hosts are very helpful and friendly.
