We are here during the Bluegrass festival which means lots of people, but the restrooms are woefully inadequate-paper, soap, cleanliness. Pavilion, roads, hook ups are great but we are packed in REALLY tight. Lots are small, side by side with no trees except on perimeter. Difficult to park since back in lots are 90 degrees to roads which are narrow. Broken water line first day left everyone without water for four hours. Baths were a mess by then since no signs were up requesting no use.
This campground is used a lot by campers getting their units worked on. It is out in the open with no tree cover. Level concrete pads, no picnic tables. The spots are rented on a first come, first served basis. Easy in and out from the main road. There is a cafe on site that is inexpensive, but good lunch and breakfast. $30 per night. Great for an over night stay, but not a destination stay.
