We have stayed at this park several times over the years. In fact our first visit was right after they opened when their name was still Lake Norman Motorcoach Resort. While this is a good park with a great location it appears that the park is beginning to show some age. It is also very full of full time workers. The park just needs some TLC. Lots of weeds in the landscaping, bugs and cobwebs on the building eaves, boardwalk beginning to warp. Definitely worth the views and fun on the water I just... Read More

Extremely helpful and friendly staff that helps you into and out of the resort. LARGE and clean bathrooms. Most sites have awesome lake views. Terrific Internet and cable. Nice dog park. We would return again.

Only problem I had with this park was the difficulty getting into a site with a 35 ft. travel trailer. All the sites are aimed in a certain direction that makes you have to do a lot of backing to get in and out. They help you get in, but still was difficult. Park looks nice where we were, and is great for boaters. WiFi is great. Utilities are positioned far in the rear of the sites so you might need extensions. We will probably find another park next time with less difficulty getting in and... Read More

If you are looking for a place to spend the weekend where you can put your camper on a site and your boat at the dock, this is a great place. We were on our Maiden Voyage for 2016, and wanted to go to a campground relatively close to home (2 hours) to shake out all the kinks. This was our second trip to this campground, and we will go back when we are in the Charlotte area. There are a lot of positives to this campground, but I'll just list the top three. First, the owner, who is on-site, is... Read More

First, the owner, who is on-site, is super nice. He personally escorted us to the site and made sure we were comfortable backing into the site. Second, the restroom facilities are top notch. Extremely clean and comfortable. Third, they have a boat ramp and docks right at the site. Personal Watercraft, pontoons, and ski boats should do just fine on the ramp. There are only two small issues with the campground that prevented me from giving all 5 stars.. First, it is right off of NC-150, and it is a heavily traveled road. There is considerable noise from the road if you stay on "Level 3". Second, the sites are really close together, so there is not a lot of space to spread out.
