The park was clean and the staff was friendly. However, the website says WIFI is available but when you check in they give you a flyer thats says there is no wifi. We chose this campground so we could do online courses while camping. If the website was accurate we would not have stayed. We also were not told upon booking that there were not sewer hook ups and we’d have to pay $40 to get it pumped since we were staying a week, we’d need to dump. Felt a little duped!
To whom it may concern, after one visit to the Lake Minden RV park, we will not be back. The pictures on their website are very misleading. Where is the GREEN GRASS??? My rating compared to all resorts we have ever stayed at in the last 30 years of RVing would have been a zero star rating if I could have for Lake Minden RV Resort! There were only 5 sites available when we arrived. We were told to choose our site. We choose the 1st one open, only to find the electricity wasn't operational. Drove... Read More

There were only 5 sites available when we arrived. We were told to choose our site. We choose the 1st one open, only to find the electricity wasn't operational. Drove around to another site, parked and found a bag on the W&E, which after we parked were told by a neighbor that W/E didn't work. Come to find out of the (5) available sites that (4) did not have working electricity, leaving only one site! It would have been nice if we were told at check in this information rather than wasting time driving around, parking, then moving, looking for working W/E sites. The site we had to stay at had cigarette butts, trash and cockroaches all over the site.
The pond, AKA: Lake for example was full of algae, so I was not interested in swimming, yuck all green or fishing, as I would not want to eat my catch. It may be too late to try and get rid of the cockroach population though! As we left to dump, our station was closed and there was a long line at your other station!
Had I known of the condition of the resort prior to booking, I would have never chose Lake Minden Resort. A truck rest stop is cleaner! I am attaching a few pictures of the resort.
We let the manager on duty know of the poor condition of our site and the cockroach problem and she had an "I don't care attitude"
Definitely NOT a Happy Camper!

We thought we would have full hookups, but no site was selected...first come first serve. Most sites are power/water only. No controls on sites. Several of the rigs (particularly toy haulers) were taking two spots. Ended up in partial hookup site. At least we were only there for 1 night. Roads are narrow. Visitors for other sites were parked only partially off road and in front of the site I was trying to get into. Difficult to back into site. Facility not maintained. Lake was murky and brown. This... This place has not enticed me to become a Thousand Trails member. Check in person was friendly. Staff was not following mask restrictions except when approaching us for check-in.

We did not have a pleasant experience here. The staff was not helpful and when we were checking in, staff members kept interrupting the person checking us in. In the pictures, the lake looked beautiful but in reality, it was very brown and murky looking. The place was littered with trash and the dumpsters were overflowing. The worst part was that there was only ONE dump station open for the whole park which was probably about 100 spots. That meant when we tried to leave, it was a disaster trying... Read More

We reserved a full hook up site but when we arrived, they said it is first come first serve and that only one section has full hook ups. Those spots were too small for anything longer than 15'.
