The campground is clean and very well kept. Although the roads and sites are not paved they are compacted gravel and in very good condition. Sites a level and large. Restrooms are clean and well stocked. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We will be back.
Stayed for 3 nights last week. Super campground on beautiful hilly terrain. Sites were level with full hookups including cable. Very friendly office staff and check-in was a breeze. Area is great for walking and stores and restaurants - if needed - are nearby. The town of Mt. Airy is not far and great for Andy Griffith memorabilia. The campground has a "camp store" and it has a super selection of everything camp related. My wife and I highly recommend this camp ground. Sorry, but only a... Read More

This is absolutely one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. It is quiet, very spacious sites with gorgeous mountain views! Rolling hills with two ponds - we enjoyed watching several varieties of ducks/geese with their babies! We will definitely return and have already told several RV buddies about this lovely campground!
My spouse and I with 2 dogs stayed in lot 7 for almost 2 months. The Campground is beautiful and quiet. Washer and dryer worked great. The ladies bathroom is clean and the water hot. They have been doing upgrades to the park. The owner and staff are very friendly. Thank you.
This Campground is beautiful. The scenic views are tremendously satisfying. The terraced sites are well designed and the maintenance is very well done. Mowing, weed-eating, gravel sites all grade A. The office is helpful and easy to work with. The museums were fun and informational. There could be more dumpsters. Only one at the entrance and no dog cleanup bins.
Spent 1 night very clean well maintained pleasant staff gravel back in sites that are level only negative is only 1 pair of bathrooms/shower at main office a long way from sites
Overall the campground looks like a parking lot. We had to stay in the new section--no trees, gravel with mud, small spaces, etc. It is a long way from the one restroom for the whole campground, which is large. One needs a vehicle to get to the restroom/bath house. We had to leave one night early due to camper troubles plus some sickness, but they would not even hear to refunding our payment for that unused night. Never again will we camp here, and we don't recommend that you do either.
This is a great campground. The sites were all covered with gravel as were the roads. Sites were level and easy to get into. There were several shelters around the campground with a large one with a full kitchen. The staff/owners were great to work with when we put on our bus rally here, they went over and beyond to help us pull it off. Two miles from town and the interstate.
Nice camp ground right off the expressway. We stopped in for the night while traveling home. When we got up the next morning there were high wind warnings in the mountains. The campground was full but they were able to make adjustments for us to stay another night so we didn't have to be on the road in the dangerous conditions. I can't say enough about their hospitality. campers and campgrounds are some of the best people.
Very friendly & clean facility. Restrooms were clean. Great location for visiting Mount Airy & Pilot Mountain.
Nice gravel, level pull through sites. Great setting and views. No trees...good for my satellite dish not so good for heat. Restrooms were very clean but small. Will stay again.
This is the second time we have stayed here. People are very nice, clean shower house. Nice large sites, lots of pull thru sites. 2 sewer hook ups at each site. Close to Mt Airy, hometown of Andy Griffith. Fun shops in town with a lot of memorabilia from the show. If you go to the museum, be sure to get the head phones, makes it a lot more interesting. Several shelters with community fire rings. Campground is home of the Bunker Siamese Twins. The girl in the office is the fourth generation of... Read More

Only negative, is there are no trees for shade in the summer time. Will definitely stay here again.

Stayed one night. Neighbors don't like to tie their dogs very large.
The place was clean, well kept, and the staff was friendly. Nice pond on-site. The ONLY reason I didn't give it five stars was for the lack of trees. Hopefully that will change in a few years??
Went for Mayberry Days celebration (2nd time at this campground); very sprawling campground built on the old Bunker Farm (the Siamese twins), owned and operated by a descendant (so I hear). Pull thru site, but they are limited so book months in advance for a special occasion; did not take our pets but many other did so it is a very pet friendly park; bathrooms and laundry are clean and functional; everyone there was there for Mayberry Days so there was a commonality among all campers you don't find... Airy. We will return to this park again.
