I can't believe that this park is a "Red" Good Sams Park. Clearly no one from Good Sams has visited this place in a very, very long time. This is an almost abandoned Mobile Home Park which has modified many of the abandoned mobile home pads to allow RVs to park on them. The hosts that administer the RV park are friendly, but pretty much everything else about this park and the way it is run is a negative. When I spoke with them to make my reservation, I specifically asked if the RV pads were concrete.... Read More

This is an almost abandoned Mobile Home Park which has modified many of the abandoned mobile home pads to allow RVs to park on them. The hosts that administer the RV park are friendly, but pretty much everything else about this park and the way it is run is a negative. When I spoke with them to make my reservation, I specifically asked if the RV pads were concrete. There had been a lot of rain in the region and I did not want to back my 5th Wheel onto a muddy or soft site. I was told it was all concrete. I was told that the office was closed on the weekend and there would be no one there to administer my arrival. I was assigned a site declared to be perfect for someone only staying a short while. Upon my arrival, I was shocked to see that all of the sewer connections at all of the RV sites are left uncapped and that water was visible to almost the top of them. Before backing into my site, I checked the utilities and discovered the water did not work. I called them to report these issues and was told I could pick any open spot and that the open sewer connections with water to the tops were normal. Every RV site was a poorly graded gravel and dirt site with a cracked and crumbling concrete pad as the patio. I picked the best one they had and it was not level and the thin layer of gravel quickly turned to ruts in the muddy soil. Hooking up, the sewer connection did not provide the ability to screw in my adapter for a good seal. In fact there was no way to obtain a seal other than putting a log on top of my connector. With the water to the top of the sewer pipe, I was quite worried that when I dumped my tanks, the contents would overflow onto the ground. There are few residents in this mobile home community and of the RVs that were present, none seem occupied except one other. The overall feel of this run-down park left me feeling a bit unsecure and vulnerable. With no other nearby options, we opted to stay here, but reduced our planned duration. Needless to say, not only would I not recommend this park and would never return, but I do not think this should even be listed in the Good Sams directory as an RV park.
