The campground is a state park next to a reservoir. You must pay a daily (or weekly) entrance fee in addition to the camping fee. The sites were level gravel with electric only. There are water standpipes in the center of each camping loop so you can fill your potable water tank. The lake is about ® to _ mile from the campsites. They have a mixture of pull-thru and back in sites. The bathrooms were new and clean. A laundry was in the bathhouse with 3 washers/dryers. The campground is about 20 miles north of Sterling following paved, two lane county roads in the middle of farmland. It is well marked going from I-80 in Sterling to the campground. Because of the remote location, noise and light pollution were minimal which made for good stargazing.
