We were with a group of about 25 RVs on a New England color tour and stayed here in early October. The group had organized several tours, but also a lobster bake at the campground. They had daily events such as hard cider tasting, and music. There was a concessionaire on site who cooked lunches and dinners, such as hot dogs, lobster and lobster rolls. Only think we did not have that other sites in the larger section was cable TV. Since we were on Mount Dessert Island, with Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, we did not spend a lot of time at the park. On our tour we made some friends, and had several evening campfires at their site. The fire pit at our site was too close to our trailer and tow vehicle to use. The only other downside was that the office was a long walk from our site. The staff was friendly and helpful, although we did not need a lot of help during our five days there. They helped us get into our back-in site (we are not very experienced yet) and also were helpful to others who were less adept than us. Did not use the restrooms or showers. Laundry was very affordable. If in the area again I would like to stay here.
