My wife and I are relatively new to RVing but this is the nicest RV park we have stayed in so far. We had a riverfront spot, so it was a back in, but we were less than 15 foot from the Rio Grande river. The cottonwood trees were large and provided plenty of shade. There was a picnic table and a fire ring at each campsite. The space was large, so the neighbors weren't too close. There is a lot of fishing opportunities very close by, not including the river! Very nice campground. I would give it a 5 if I could have been on the river. It appears the sites on the river are for smaller rigs. Did not have any problems with mosquitos or bugs as someone previously reported. Very much enjoyed driving up to Creede and the drive west on 160 was great.

This is a lovely camp ground with nice hosts right on the Rio Grand River. However, we could not stay the night due to the massive amount of mosquitoes. I just wanted to mention that you might call ahead and see if the mosquitoes are an issue before you book a site here. We do plan to go back when there are less mosquitoes.

Need to get a spot on the river. Very nice people there.

South Fork Campground is our favorite location to stay in southwest Colorado. The operators are super friendly and helpful. The campground has nice wide spaces and many are right on the Rio Grand River, which is gold medal trout water at this location. Lots of trees and shade with friendly neighbors.
