Pocono Vacation Park Good Sam Verified Campground

We chose this campground because of needing to be near ESUniv and that it said it had arcade, mini gold pool and other family friendly things to do…yeah not the case! Staff was friendly at the front office though. Would not recommend overall, sadly.

STAY AWAY. This place is disgusting. We were the only short term campers, as all of the others live there full time in junky old campers with lots of trash around.The roads are in poor repair and no one keeps to the 5 mph speed limit....lots of traffic, too. The shower is especially bad, as the water did not drain fast enough, leaving my husband standing in a pool of dirty water, YUCK YUCK. The water had a terrible smell and taste. Can we give 0 stars. Misrepresented in ads. Worst campground ever, can not believe this campsite can earn a GoodSam affiliation. Did not feel safe, clean or comfortable, never given a map or rules of campground, Apparently there are none, barking dogs, parties until well after midnight. Sketchy, disgusting sites, mostly seasonal or full-timers. Got a few hours rest and back on the road FAST. Pass this one bye.

This was by far our worst experience with Good Sam parks. and we have visited 15-20 in the last month. The entry was nice AND it looked like there were some some nice sites but we ended up at a site that had a lot of animal poo from seasonal folks that let their dogs and cats loose. The water, electric connections were shaky at best and seemed dangerous. We felt so uncomfortable we left as soon as possible the next morning. I would not recommend it.

No picnic table, water and sewer hookups were not easily accessible, trash on the grounds of the site, was ok for 1 night.

Bathrooms were not heated. Lady in office, behind the desk, was really nasty. Some of the residents are great and friendly and some I would stay away from. The rec area reminds me of VACATION movie, but the pool in AH is cleaner and the basketball and tennis courts have alot to be desired. I would look else where even for a quick overnight stay.
