Although Good Sam lists this as a Good Sam park, there is no discount offered. Booking online made life easier, but not being able to talk to a human about space was a detractor. Got here and the office was already closed. My reservation paperwork was tucked in the brochure holder next to the door. Found the spot ok, and thankfully it was fairly level. Some of the ones I saw would have left my back tires off the ground. Fell several times trying to get the water and electric hooked up. The grade... Read More

Found the spot ok, and thankfully it was fairly level. Some of the ones I saw would have left my back tires off the ground. Fell several times trying to get the water and electric hooked up. The grade was pretty steep and gravelly. Not much room in between sites, as evidenced by the fact that someone bent the power post (not an easy feat, since it was a steel I-bar). The campground hasn't fixed it, which left my surge protector laying on the ground. No way to lock the box, so I can only hope my cord and surge protector are still there in the morning. In talking to others here, it appears there are two types of people who come here. The ones who have seasonal sites and live here year round, and those who book it because it was close to the highway and only plan to spend long enough to sleep. I fell into the latter category. It's definitely an RV park and not a campground. The bathrooms were ok, I guess. Wasn't thoroughly disgusting, and I'd use it in a pinch, but not without a lot of Clorox wipes. LOL
If you like the smell of petrochemicals, you'll love it here. There's an oil refinery right across the street. And if it's too quiet for you, there's a freight train track a couple hundred yards away.
Game room was a let down, with one off-level pinball machine leftover from the 70s and a broken claw machine. I was going to try my hand at the pool table, but I feared it would be missing half the balls, so I saved my money.

Very small park, narrow gravel sites, many uneven. There was old trash in many fire pits. It sits across from an asphalt plant and smells of asphalt most of the time. It was so bad we could not sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. Its right off a busy road and can be noisy. Would be OK for a one night stop over, but I would never stay longer than that. its just a terrible terrible location.
Did not use their facilities but didn't want to give them a low rating
Very friendly and accommodating staff . We will definitely be back
A nice little park for an overnight stay near the Interstate. Super nice staff!
On our way out East we needed an overnight stop. This park was just perfect. Very easy on and off Route 80, easy to find. The owners were super friendly!! Our site was an easy pull through. Park was clean and quiet, bathrooms were spotless. If we ever need another stop over in the Sandusky area, this will be it!! So glad we chose it!!
Easy off and on the turnpike. From what we saw the grounds were kept up well, the bathrooms/showers were clean and tidy. The air quality in the area was a bit off so we were happy to keep the windows closed and the A/C running.
We really enjoyed our stay here, and the managers Husband and Wife was very accommodating and helpful. We will highly recommend this campground. We also enjoyed visiting Sandusky it has a lot of very interesting and fun places to explore.
The is the best campsite in the Ohio area. Very friendly workers and staff. Nice and tidy campground. Pool very clean and maintained. Love this place.
We booked this because of the Good Sam rating but boy is that off. It appears to us that the surrounding area has grown so much it is pushing this campground out. The campground is for sale and it is in need of repair. Wish I would have seen these comments before we booked it. We are here for one night and there is one other campsite being used.
What we liked: Easy on and off main highway. Staff was friendly and helpful. What we did not like: We stayed on a Friday night. Very loud long term residents throughout the evening. Basketball hoop right next to the coach, with ball constantly hitting the coach. Place smells of asphalt from nearby factory. Car racing all night long on main road. I would not stay here again, nor would I stay in Milan as it is obvious the police don't seem to care of the car racing.
Pool dirty, couldn't get satellite, only needed electric. Very expensive for whats available. Wifi poor.
Fair little park...convenient to the highway. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Full time residents are trashy and their sites are a mess. One had a pvc pipe to the sewer that was just laying on it's side...dumping near the sewer where it could run into the opening. Grass is cut..... area around the dumpster was fairly well maintained. If the management would get the full time residents under control, this could be a nice little park.
If it was not for an overnight stay and that I already paid, I would have turned right back around and went somewhere else. The campground is right off the main road. The garbage was falling out of the dumpster. There were several "long term" campers there that look like they should have been condemned. The site we stayed in was pretty level, but the power pedestal had missing parts of the 30amp service. I am not sure how GS gave it an 8. I would not recommend this place at all.
Nice quiet camping, friendly worker. Good rates.
