For the record we tried booking Sept 18 and was refused. So we did not stay at this KOA Park. Tried booking one night only to learn two nights are required at $87.50 per night. Talk about gouging!!! We full time and have stayed at many KOA's over the years. Price gouging and now forcing folks to stay two nights to make a reservation, has us rethinking our KOA membership. 7 minutes down the road is Grandmas RV Park. See you there.

We called this campground on Monday asking for their weather forecast as snow was forecasted for Ohio. The gentleman told us that their forecast did not include snow for Tuesday/Wednesday and that they had plenty of sites. We arrived on Tuesday evening to a wintery mix. Roads to sites were muddy and they need gravel. The office was closed but available sites were posted. We pulled in and set up expecting to pull out early Wednesday morning. We woke up to approximately 8 inches of snow on the... Read More

We woke up to approximately 8 inches of snow on the ground and on top of slides. After attempting to pull slides in I walked down to the office to seek assistance. No they could not loan us a ladder. No their staff would not get on a ladder. No they could not loan us a leaf blower. Yes they would send a staff member down with a leaf blower but he doubted it would help as he could not get on a ladder. I asked if we could get a later check out and I was informed that we had to be off the site as it was reserved by someone else. I asked what happened if we couldn't get our slides in and the answer was "you have to be off the site". The lady behind the counter told me they she didn't understand where we were all getting our weather forecasts as they knew the snow was coming and when I told her we called the office she mumbled "that must have been (could not understand the name)". My husband went to Lowes to buy a ladder and I waited for the staff member to show up. He never did. I had just had surgery and was not allowed to use my right arm so my husband worked in freezing snow to get the snow off the slides. Meanwhile: the staff were using their equipment to clear snow off the stairs to the apartment upstairs behind the office and otherwise playing in the snow. If you stay in this park do not expect any assistance from anyone there. KOA needs to review this campground very closely.

Park is about 20 miles south of Louisville. Not very convenient for Louisville site seeing. Not far off I-65 with grocery and Wal Mart close by. The highest rated near by restaurants were Cracker Barrel and Big Boy. Not a fine dining location. Spacious grounds. Some sites are very close together. Gravel roads and gravel sites, reasonably well-maintained. Site was not completely level, but leveling jacks handled it OK. Restrooms and showers were old but clean. Overall a good stay. $60 for a gravel/mud site with a play ground. Typical KOA.

One of the BEST KOA's we have ever stayed in. Feel like you are in the country. They have great Nature trails as well as a Catfish pond you can catch and release. I highly recommend if you are in the Louisville area, this the place to stay. If we past through this way again, we will definitely stay here..

First time here. Convenient to attractions in the Louisville area. Kind of neglected. Grass uncut and areas kind of run down. We had a deluxe site which was better than others. Office staff were helpful. Cable tv was analog only. Wifi was not good at all.

It's was a fairly nice KOA site for us... It was clean thankfully! And there were lots of family activities, it was just lacking the nature that we enjoy when camping. But this just didn't feel like we were camping, lack of trees and the stacked camper parking made it feel like a trailer park not a camp ground. We barely had room to sit around our firepit once we got our 5th wheel parked in our spot. We didn't end hanging around campgrounds as much as we normally do, and drove into Louisville and... One of the best campgrounds we have ever been to, and we have been to many across the country. Crystal clean, warm, and very large pool. Large clean laundry room. Beautiful forested grounds with hiking trails, catfish fishing pond, scenic river nearby with fishing. Flat, pull through spaces. QUIET! Huge gameroom, tent camping, cabins, dog and children friendly! Highly recommended!

Google reviews indicate that the staff is less than friendly. We found that to not be true. The park is a bit pricey for a KOA. The park was very quit and overall a nice place to stay. The pool was under construction due to a drainage issue. The reason for not giving it 5 stars: We asked for a Satalite available spot, which we did get. How ever the side yard was 10 feet wide. When they parked a class C next to us, there was 2 feet from our awning to the slide out on the class C. The staff would... Read More

When they parked a class C next to us, there was 2 feet from our awning to the slide out on the class C. The staff would not allow us to move to a different spot and the class C could have been parked at any one of the two dozen spots available. This park could use a upgrade on the electrical. Many of the nicer spots are back in spots, which is fine, but they are 30 amp only. Would I stay there again? Sure. But if staying longer than over night I would pay for the premium spot on the hill.
