I love this campground, we were going to stay at a different one down the road but so glad we found this one, it will be our choice whenever we are in the area. The trees are so big and beautiful and the grounds are very well kept. We saw them pick up and rake the sites when people pulled out. Some of the sites are close but we didn't see any that were too bad. The only thing I would suggest is that they make sure they are putting rv's of specific sizes in the right sites because even though the... Read More

The only thing I would suggest is that they make sure they are putting rv's of specific sizes in the right sites because even though the trees are magnificent and make the campground what it is, some rigs are hard to maneuver and back into some of the sites because of them. As with all campgrounds it would be nice if they could spread campers around when they aren't too full and leave some room when possible but again, nothing I would complain about it's just a general global comment for all campgrounds. We will definitely stay here again. The store was great and the people were wonderfully helpful and seemed happy to be there to help.

Under new ownership. Sun resorts. Put RV in sites they will not fit in. Management very disorganized and not helpful. We had to wait for the RV next to us to leave before we could leave the front of there RV was blocking our site so we couldn't hook up to our fifth wheel.
We are regular guests at Tahoe Valley RV Resort. We love the location of this resort. It is just a few minutes to the Y in South Lake Tahoe. We typically stay during the 4th of July week and are use to the big crowds. During the busy weeks (Holidays) the Resort is usually packed with tent and RV'ers. We have found this Resort to always be kid friendly and staff is a stickler on driving speeds (5 mph). We have always found our site to be clean and ready for us when we arrive and the utilities in... Read More

We have always found our site to be clean and ready for us when we arrive and the utilities in good repair. With one exception... the picnic tables at some of the sites are in terrible condition and almost hazardous to your health. The bathrooms are older but in good repair and clean. The pool was just refinished a year ago and is in good shape. It does get a little crowded during the peek weekends though. WiFi is not very good. It was on and off the whole week and speeds are for email checking only. The resort does provide pancake breakfast for a few $ on weekends. One of the better perks is the public transit (Old Cable Car) stops inside the resort and goes everywhere around the lake. In all this is one of our favorite places to visit. A great base camp for Lake Tahoe.

Nice park, very large. Some sites are close together but bearable. Lots of trees and plenty of shade in most spots. Close to many conveniences, i.e. Starbucks, Raleys, McDonalds, Gas, etc....Hospital right next door (lots of helicopter traffic for hospital while we were there). Tahoe lake is right down the road less than 7 miles. Fire pits in some spots but not all. Has basketball, pickleball, tennis, horse shoes, volleyball, table tennis, pool, hiking trails, playgrounds for kids and a large... Read More

Has basketball, pickleball, tennis, horse shoes, volleyball, table tennis, pool, hiking trails, playgrounds for kids and a large event tent where they hold movie nights and karaoke nights. Great breakfast on Saturday mornings for a minimal cost. All the facilities necessary, plenty of bathrooms, showers, camp store, and laundry. They also have on site propane and air station. Not a bad campground and easy in and out. Dirt spots but very level and all hookups worked as well as cable TV. I was not able to connect to their WiFi, my phone and IPad could not pickup their signal. Was costly if not a member of Thousand Trails and/or Encore....$54 a night weekdays and $74 a night weekends. Overall not bad, camp hosts and personnel are friendly, will be back for sure!
