Our purpose was to use this as a one-night transit park for our class A motor home towing a car. We are pleased and will use again in the future. Non-contact registration procedures worked easily and quickly. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent rock roads and parking pads. We arrived after a rain and there were only a few puddles in the roads and pads. 50 amp pads face an enjoyable to view agricultural field and trees. We didn't use the restroom.
Not a good place to stay for more than a night or two. We stayed for several months and I never even saw the owner, that lives onsite. We stayed at many RV parks and this was the worst for hospitality. I felt like the owner only cares about collecting money. The owner rarely answered her phone when we called about any issue. There were several petty issues I had with this place (like the dryer not working and she said she would refund my money but never did) and larger issues. They constantly shut... Read More

We stayed at many RV parks and this was the worst for hospitality. I felt like the owner only cares about collecting money. The owner rarely answered her phone when we called about any issue. There were several petty issues I had with this place (like the dryer not working and she said she would refund my money but never did) and larger issues. They constantly shut off the water without warning. One day it was off all day. At 6pm, I texted the owner asking when it would be back on. No response. At 9pm, I called. No answer. Then I get a text saying it should be on and the maintenance guy will be right over. He comes over and acted super annoyed (im not sure at who or what) and tells me my water is now back on. It was too late to give my kids a bath or do dishes so I left that for morning. The next morning, the water was off again.
One night we had a bonfire. I get a call the next day from the owner saying many people complained about the smell of smoke being too "strong and offensive". We used firewood bought from Lowes so it was a typical campfire. She told us we would have to move the ring somewhere else if we wanted to have another bonfire. We weren't sure where to move it (sites are small) so we decided to never have another bonfire. However, in the back corner of the park, they are constantly burning a huge stump where black, bellowing smoke is filling the whole campground yet my little bonfire is "too strong and offensive". Okay.
This place is far away from anything. Its about 5 miles to the closest gas station and 20 miles from a Walmart. The mosquitoes are literally the worse I have seen anywhere and many of the sites flood with a lot of rain. There is also no pool as the website says there is.

First the good: At least the campground (place to park with hook-ups) was near the highway for a quick get away from there, although one has to use the narrow frontage road quite a ways to get to the highway. Now the not so good: 1. I am still scratching from some horrific mosquito or bug bites at least a week after being there. Other than setting up our campsite plug-ins, I was not outside at all, yet many of the bugs got in. I killed many that got inside with a fly shatter, and yet there must... Read More

1. I am still scratching from some horrific mosquito or bug bites at least a week after being there. Other than setting up our campsite plug-ins, I was not outside at all, yet many of the bugs got in. I killed many that got inside with a fly shatter, and yet there must have been a couple still lurking. The welts from the bites are incredible and not like any mosquito near our home.
2. The campground is surrounded on three sides by fields of soybeans or some other crop. Yes, there are trees for most of the campsites, but the fields make for a lonely vista. The last side of the campground view is the back of the office or the highway.
3. We did not use the restrooms, if there were any.
4. There are permanent residents who come and go quite late and early in the morning. The sound of crushing tires on gravel will keep you awake.
One dude who lives there proudly displays many flags on his screened side tent, including a Confederate flag. I found that astonishing in light of the recent riots going on across the country over the summer.
We make decisions about where to stop based on reviews that we read. I am paying it forward.

We arrived on 6-28-19. The campgrounds are clean and well maintained. The owner was very nice and helpful. We stayed only one night however if we travel that way again this will be a place we would stay again for multiple nights. Great location, great sites, and friendly people.
We stayed four nights at Bootheel RV Park while we were working in the conservation area east of the campground. It was a great place to return to after hiking around in the sun and wading in the muck all morning. The wash and bathroom facilities were impeccable and the service was courteous and responsive. We enjoyed sitting at the edge of the tent campground and looking at the birds in the adjoining cotton field.
We opted to drive an extra 45 minutes and use this park because the pictures showed very nice, and it was closer to our destination, but alas, as we all know pictures can lie. They must have been taken some time ago, you can tell this is an older park, not well kept, too many old rigs around, with their sites unkempt. We opted for site 45, as we needed a pull thru for our 40 footer and car, and 50 Amp Service. Were just able to sneak into it due to power pedestals in way, and large tree at opposite... Read More

Nice view of the cotton field tho. Road in here is very narrow, and when coming in from the North tight turn, not recommended for bigger rigs, probably would not recommend this park

Very nice people to work with. Close to express way, so a bit of noise all night. Older park is being upgraded. Plenty of room per site. Electric and water and dump station. Surrounded by cotton fields. Very pleasant. Shower and restroom were nice and clean. We would stay there again.
we were just here overnight but the staff was very helpful in directions and instructions for late arrival. Grounds were clean. showers were also nice. your light on the entrance sign might be out. Was hard to see coming from southbound side.
We stayed overnight while traveling. Very friendly owners and very clean park. We will stay here again.
Great place to stay I would stay again. I have stayed there every time I was passing thur. The owners are super friendly and they will do anything to help you. The place is the best camper park I ever been to. If you are in this area its a must stop.
Out of the way on a 2 lane road, very little signs to let you know where they are. Site is old campground bought by young couple. they are trying to make it work. I give them a 10 for that. We went thru after a bad storm and there were water everywhere. Some of the sites had electric problems due to former owners not keeping the park up. building was just remoudled, so that was a great thing. Being new to the rv world they have their job cut out for them. I wish them luck, and If I ever there again... Read More

Wish I could give this park a better rating but it is an old rundown former KOA campground that was purchased by a young married couple. They got their work cut out for them. The wife primarily runs the park but has no idea about RV's. We had to move to a different site twice due to the electric breakers failing to hold. (30 amp) All the sites were pull through but grown over. The frontage road leading into the park from I-55 is in need of repair and you have to go about 5 miles on it to get there.... Read More

Access is poor due to this plus there are no other facilities near by. (restaurants, fuel, etc.)
